Product Engineer - Fullstack - SF
Job Description
Role Overview
Reflection’s alpha product turns cutting-edge AI research into a developer-friendly platform for engineering teams at global enterprises. You will lead the customer-facing surfaces of that product — from the web dashboard(s) to our upcoming desktop app.
What You’ll Work On
Own Customer-Facing Surfaces
Ship the main web dashboard, in-app onboarding, and the desktop application (Tauri/Electron) that customers run locally.
Define Frontend Architecture
Establish component libraries, state-management patterns, test automation, and build pipelines that keep velocity high as the team scales.
End-to-End Product Delivery
Design and consume API contracts with backend peers; jump into server code when it unblocks the feature.
Performance & Quality
Drive initiatives that improve first-load time, interaction latency, accessibility, and visual polish across devices.
Enterprise-Grade Integrations
Implement secure auth flows (OIDC/SAML), role-based UIs, and configuration wizards that make deployment in regulated environments painless.
Must Haves
5+ years shipping production web apps with React (or a comparable framework) and TypeScript.
Demonstrated ownership of complex features from spec → production → monitoring.
Deep understanding of modern JavaScript/TypeScript, browser performance, accessibility fundamentals, and secure session management.
Comfortable designing/consuming API contracts and collaborating closely with Python or Go backend engineers.
Proven ability to make pragmatic architecture trade-offs and drive consensus in a fast-moving, remote team.
Good to Haves
Experience building or maintaining design systems, micro-frontend platforms, or desktop apps with Tauri/Electron.
Familiarity with Kubernetes, CI/CD pipelines, and cloud infra (AWS/GCP/Azure).
Exposure to enterprise authentication (SAML, SCIM), SOC2/GDPR compliance, or financial-grade security.
Prior work in AI/ML product surfaces, data visualization, or developer-tool UX.
Open-source contributions, tech talks, or blogging that showcase thought leadership.
Compensation
The base salary range for this role is $230,000 – $300,000 (USD) annually. This range reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries across all US locations where this role is posted, including California and New York City. Final compensation will be determined based on experience, skills, and location.
Employees are also eligible for equity grants subject to the role and level.
