Overview:
We are hiring two Electrical Quality & Commissioning Field Leads on behalf of a premier electrical contracting partner supporting a high-profile data center build in Madison, Alabama. This role is ideal for experienced electrical professionals with strong field leadership and a background in quality assurance and commissioning. You'll be instrumental in managing QA and commissioning processes from start to finish.
Project Scope:
This is a site-based role with a top-tier contractor where you'll help drive quality performance, safety, and operational readiness in a fast-paced, mission-critical environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and implement site-specific quality and commissioning procedures
Lead QA/Cx efforts throughout the project lifecycle
Ensure timely delivery of accurate documentation in collaboration with project management
Coordinate scheduling of QA/Cx tasks with field teams, subcontractors, and vendors
Review equipment specifications, BOMs, and submittals for compliance and scope accuracy
Conduct inspections and field testing of electrical installations per project standards
Liaise with general contractors, clients, and AHJs during inspections and handoff processes
Assist in drafting start-up procedures, testing documentation, and commissioning plans (MOPs, SBSs)
Oversee field testing and start-up activities to meet project commissioning goals
Analyze QA performance metrics and identify areas for improvement
Report lessons learned to support ongoing process enhancements across project sites
Candidate Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management or a related field
Minimum 5 years of licensed Journeyman Electrician experience with supervisory responsibilities
At least 5 years of experience in electrical QA and commissioning
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook, Project)
Familiarity with BIM 360 and PlanGrid is preferred
OSHA and NFPA 70E training strongly preferred
Strong communication, leadership, and time management skills
Ability to multitask, lead teams, and meet deadlines in a dynamic environment
Willingness to travel up to 100% as project needs dictate
Work Environment & Physical Demands:
Field and office-based duties in active construction settings
Exposure to noise, temperature fluctuations, and typical job site conditions
Occasional lifting up to 30 pounds
Frequent standing, walking, typing, and bending
