In this role, you’ll design, build, and refine new products and production components—working closely with engineers, toolmakers, and cross-functional teams. You’ll use SolidWorks, CAM software, and your own craftsmanship to help take projects from sketch to real-world testing.

What You’ll Be Doing
- Use SolidWorks or similar CAD software to develop design concepts and models
- Program toolpaths and parts using Mastercam or other CAM software
- Create and assemble physical prototypes from scratch using workshop tools and equipment
- Collaborate with design, tooling, and production teams to iterate on builds
- Assist in testing and refining designs based on performance and feedback
- Maintain detailed documentation of prototypes, revisions, and materials
- Think creatively to solve problems and improve design processes
What We’re Looking For
- Hands-on experience in prototype building or mechanical design
- Proficiency in SolidWorks or equivalent 3D modeling software
- Familiarity with Mastercam or CAM programming tools
- Comfortable using hand tools, power tools, and workshop equipment
- Strong mechanical aptitude and love for making things work
- Detail-oriented mindset with a passion for problem-solving
- Excellent collaboration and communication skills
Why You’ll Love Working at POLYWOOD®
- Work on meaningful, sustainability-driven products
- Be part of a team that values creativity, craftsmanship, and innovation
- Stable full-time schedule and a strong team culture
- Great benefits, growth opportunities, and the chance to make an impact from day one
