Job Overview

An application representative will assist new clients in creating a thorough application for their Social Security claim. This will include reviewing initial intake information and gathering income, work, medical, and any relevant information to provide Social Security with the proper data needed to make an accurate decision.

Responsibilities

  • Assist potential clients who have not applied or have not received a decision from Social Security
  • Answer incoming calls, taking transfers, and calling on tasks to gather required information
  • Ability to type while speaking to clients in an empathetic manner
  • Maintain high standards of accuracy in all tasks
  • Retain basic Social Security and Disability knowledge and protocols
  • Complete other tasks as requested by team leader or department management
  • Attendance: Full-time position that requires regular, reliable, and punctual attendance

Qualifications

  • Authorized to work in the United States and not require work authorization sponsorship by our company for this position now or in the future.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Must be familiar and competent with standard office equipment including work computer, and word processing, spreadsheet, and database software.
  • Must have the ability to work independently and balance task responsibilities in a customer service setting.
  • Must have a reliable internet connection where the computer can be directly connected to the internet router with a minimum internet speed of 25 download/10 upload.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with diverse, and sometimes challenging, individuals and respond calmly and efficiently to situations ranging from routine to urgent.
  • Active listening skills on each call with the ability to retain information while multitasking through software applications including concise and accurate notation in CRM to complete calls in timely and efficient manner.
  • Achieve established daily, weekly, and monthly goals.
