Pearl Health New York City Full-time

per year

Job Description

Who we are. . .

Pearl Health is powering the future of healthcare. We help primary care providers and organizations to deliver quality healthcare to the patients who need it most, when they need it most — and get rewarded for keeping patients healthy.

Our technology, services, and financial tools enable better, more proactive care, decrease total cost of care across patient panels, and optimize performance in value-based care models for Traditional Medicare and Medicare Advantage.

We are a team of physicians and public health experts (Stanford, Harvard, Mount Sinai), technologists (athenahealth, Amazon, Meta, Flatiron), healthcare innovators (Centivo, Aledade, Stellar, Arcadia), and experienced risk management professionals (CVS/Aetna, Humana, Oscar) who believe that primary care providers are the key to addressing our healthcare system’s biggest challenges.

Since its founding in 2020, Pearl has expanded to partner with thousands of primary care providers in practices and organizations across 44 states. Our investors include Andreessen Horowitz, Viking Global Investors, AlleyCorp, and SV Angel.

The role. . .

Pearl’s Product Solutions team leads initiatives that improve client performance in value-based care programs. We are responsible for translating performance opportunities into actionable and measurable approaches through a combination of product pilots, complex workflow design, and tech-enabled services. We guide clients to leverage the Pearl Platform for success, and help shape the capabilities that get built directly into the Product.

We are seeking a curious and motivated Manager to lead a number of cross-functional initiatives. In this role, you’ll collaborate with different teams to build, refine, and manage a variety of performance capabilities. An interest in value-based care and a desire to learn the nuances of a variety of Medicare programs will make you an ideal candidate.

This role will report to the Senior Manager, Product Solutions. To be successful in this role you will:

  • Manage Pearl’s patient engagement services, including experimenting with AI to compliantly deploy these services at scale.

  • Support the development and deployment of Pearl’s client performance management system, including preferred network management.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (R&D, Customer Success, Clinical Strategy, ACO Operations, Preferred Networks, and Analytics) to help manage relationships with partners that are critical to our success in VBC.

  • Surface areas of improvement across our product and operations and make structured recommendations based on lift/impact as we continue to scale.

  • Build and run scalable systems to track leading and lagging indicators across initiatives.

  • Support existing core functions to help keep our team operating effectively and efficiently.

Who you are. . .

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience

  • 4-6 years of experience in healthcare operations, population health, and/or value-based care (experience within startup environments is a plus, but not required)

  • Passionate about problem solving and learning new things – you love thinking about problems from a systems perspective, and are eager to deploy that passion in a VBC setting

  • Metrics and outcomes-driven; comfortable working in a data-driven environment, and experienced using Excel/Google Sheets and business intelligence tools to analyze data from disparate sources

  • Willing to tackle ambiguous problems with a can-do attitude

  • Experienced working in cross-functional teams and communicating with stakeholders at varying levels of seniority

  • Curious and always looking to learn something new

  • An effective communicator and a collaborator who is willing to jump in wherever help is needed.
