Job Description

Parallel Employment Group is partnering with a leading manufacturing company in Lancaster, NY, to recruit a dedicated and experienced Quality Manager. This is a key leadership role responsible for developing and managing the Quality Management System (QMS), ensuring ISO 9000 compliance, and driving continuous improvement across operations.

Salary: $65,000to $72,000/ year

Hours Monday - Friday 7:00 AM to 4:30 PM

 

Responsibilities

  • Lead the development, implementation, and maintenance of the ISO 9000 Quality Management System (QMS).
  • Serve as the Management Representative for quality matters and the Lead Auditor for internal and external audits.
  • Plan and direct activities related to quality standards for industrial processes, materials, and products.
  • Design and implement procedures for inspection, testing, and evaluation, drawing on engineering knowledge (mechanical, chemical, or electrical).
  • Establish programs to evaluate the precision and reliability of testing and production equipment.
  • Perform root cause analysis and implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).
  • Analyze and respond to customer complaints and product non-conformances.
  • Maintain all quality documentation, including manuals, procedures, and audit records.
  • Provide training programs to enhance internal quality awareness and compliance.
  • Oversee the receiving and outgoing inspection functions, including supplier quality issues.
  • Collaborate closely with Engineering and Production to ensure smooth transfer of new products into manufacturing.
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or Industrial Engineering from an ABET-accredited university, OR minimum 5 years of experience in Quality Assurance or a related technical field.
  • Demonstrated experience in ISO 9000/9001 implementation within a manufacturing environment.
  • Familiarity with ASTM and ASME industry standards.
  • Strong knowledge of quality standards development, customer requirement analysis, and audit preparation.
  • Experience with contract review, customer quality compliance, and cross-functional collaboration.
