Compensation: Not provided by employer. Typical compensation ranges for this position are between $90,000 - $120,000.
The Project Manager serves as a key operational team member within our centralized services organizations. In conjunction with the Sr. Director of Operations, the Project Manager is responsible for defining, executing, and ongoing support to a broad range of projects including business development, process, technology, and reporting & analytics. The Project Manager may work collaboratively with internal clients and cross-functional teams to ensure high-quality execution of priority projects.
This is a HYBRID ROLE IN TYSONS CORNER, VA.
Project Management
- Own and manage the high-quality execution of individual projects. End-to-end project management will include roadmap design, management of the project team and plan, and development and presentation of final deliverables
- Works with project team to ensure project budgets, resource plans, milestones, tracking metrics and success measures are achieved
- Builds and manages relationships with key stakeholders at multiple levels in the organization to manage expectations as needed and keep a project moving forward
- Serve as the main point of contact for teams when multiple units are assigned to the same project to ensure teach actions remain in synergy
- Provide daily, weekly, and monthly reports to school and company leadership
- Perform quality control on the project throughout development to maintain expected standards
- Completes special projects as assigned
Research
- Creating long- and short-term plans, including setting targets for milestones, adhering to deadlines and allocating resources
- Assisting in the definition of project scope and goals
- Researches and monitors performance trends and activity
- Designs and coordinates in gathering requirements for new process enhancements
- Communicate with the Operations team for process and tool enhancements to help prioritize needs
- Researches available data and requests necessary data from analytics team
Process Development and Execution
- Acts as operations lead for gap identification, solution idealization, and business case development
- Develop, recommend, and present strategies to leadership team that continually innovate and improve business performance
- Assessing, creating and implementing process for the purposes of enabling accurate pipeline reporting and forecasting across business units
- Secures necessary internal resources to support delivery of an approved business case
- Help develop and drive process and systems/tool adoption across teams
- Motivate people and teams involved to complete required tasks on time
- Learn from and share best practices with other stakeholders
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, or related discipline is required; an advanced degree in Business or Finance strongly preferred.
- 2+ years of experience in Operations management
- Strong analytical skills, both quantitative and qualitative; strong attention to detail and ability to pull business insights through complex data sets
- Self-motivated and strong problem-solver with ability to handle multiple projects and activities
- Ability to work well under pressure as well as effectively prioritize and execute tasks to meet deadlines consistently
- Understanding of and ability to manage confidential information
- Exemplary written and verbal communication skills with the ability to influence key stakeholders across varying business functions
