The Senior Academic Program Specialist oversees essential academic programmatic and operational functions for the Center for Computing Education and the Community, Access, Retention, and Empowerment (CARE) Office. This role will lead, coordinate, and assist with designing and launching a multidisciplinary academic center and a cross-functional student academic success and retention office. Oversees multiple complex projects and creates and maintains processes to ensure the effective execution of educational, outreach, and research initiatives. As a member of the strategic planning team, be responsible for managing the logistics, facilitating financial operations, and engaging internal and external stakeholders. Responsible for class/course scheduling. Serves as initial intake to triage and evaluate student concerns and escalate to appropriate parties for resolution if warranted. Collaborates with academic advisors as needed. Performs other relates duties as assigned.

Hiring Range: $55,700 - $72,700
The actual salary paid to an individual will vary based on multiple factors, including, but not limited to, education, years of experience, internal equity, etc.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Education, Public Administration, or a related field of study or equivalent education and experience. 4 years’ experience managing and coordinating academic programs and projects. Strong organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and data management systems; experience with Workday is highly desirable. Ability to manage ambiguity, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment. Demonstrated initiative and problem-solving abilities. Ability to manage multiple complex projects with competing deadlines.
Desired Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Education, Public Administration, or a related field of study or equivalent education and experience. 6 years’ experience managing and coordinating academic programs and projects.
