General Description:

The Senior Manager, Global Partnership Services plays a pivotal role in enhancing the cohesion, efficiency, and effectiveness of fundraising operations across Operation Smile’s global development network. Based within the central Global Partnerships Services team, this role provides shared services and operational support that help fundraising teams maximize revenue, foster collaboration, and align efforts with organizational priorities.

Operating at the intersection of fundraising strategy and operational execution, the Senior Manager collaborates cross-functionally with departments such as Finance, Global Operations, and Global Programs, as well as partner country teams, marketing, business development, and select external vendors. This position is ideal for a highly organized, analytical professional with a background in fundraising operations, project management, and cross-cultural stakeholder engagement.

As part of a new function within Operation Smile, the Senior Manager will help shape the structure, tools, and services of the Global Partnership Services model. This is a unique opportunity to build foundational systems and processes that will support global fundraising excellence well into the future.

Essential Functions:

1. Cross-Market Coordination & Shared Services Delivery

  • Act as a key contact for global fundraising teams to access centrally managed services (e.g., prospect research, proposal writing, marketing and content resources, performance reports).
  • Streamline service intake and fulfillment processes, ensuring transparency, responsiveness, and alignment with fundraising priorities.
  • Curate and distribute shared tools, templates, and best practices to enhance fundraising performance and reduce duplication of effort.

2. Project Management

  • Lead and coordinate multi-market fundraising operations projects — including global campaigns, donor data initiatives, reporting system rollouts, and cross-team pilots.
  • Maintain clear project plans, timelines, and deliverables using project management platforms (e.g., Asana, Monday.com).
  • Serve as a bridge between fundraising markets and internal teams (e.g., IT, Marketing, Program Operations, Business Development).

3. Data Management, Reporting & Insight Generation

  • Consolidate global fundraising activity and revenue data to produce dashboards, reports, and insights for internal use and executive leadership.
  • Partner with Finance and Market Leads to ensure timely, accurate submissions and financial reporting consistency.
  • Use data to support forecasting, strategic planning, and the evaluation of fundraising initiatives across channels and regions.

4. Internal Collaboration & Stakeholder Engagement

  • Build strong relationships with fundraising leads across Operation Smile’s global markets, acting as a dependable partner for operational needs and process improvements.
  • Liaise regularly with internal departments (Finance, Global Programs, and Business Development) to align cross-functional activities and resolve bottlenecks.
  • Help facilitate information flow between central and market teams, contributing to a culture of transparency, accountability, and learning.

5. Vendor & Contract Management

  • Manage key third-party vendor relationships that support fundraising teams (e.g., data partners, writers, technology providers).
  • Oversee procurement and contracting processes in collaboration with Finance, ensuring compliance, value, and service delivery.
  • Track performance and drive continuous improvement in vendor engagements.

Requirements

QUALIFICATIONS:

Required:

  • 5+ years of experience in fundraising operations, development services, project management, or nonprofit operations, ideally within a global or federated organization.
  • Familiarity with international fundraising operations and donor expectations across corporate, foundation, and individual giving (including mass market/digital, mid-level giving and affinity groups, as well as major and principal gift philanthropy).
  • Demonstrated experience gathering and analyzing fundraising or financial data to generate actionable insights.
  • Strong project management capabilities, with the ability to coordinate across time zones and departments.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including report writing and internal communications.
  • Proficiency in CRM platforms (e.g., Salesforce), data tools (Excel, Power BI, Tableau), and project management systems.
  • Highly organized, detail-oriented, and comfortable working in a fast-paced, multi-stakeholder environment.

Preferred:

  • Experience supporting or managing shared service models in a nonprofit fundraising environment.
  • Prior experience with federated nonprofits or INGOs is a strong plus.
  • Multilingual skills and/or cross-cultural fluency.

Key Competencies:

  • Strategic Operations & Problem Solving - Skilled in identifying inefficiencies and implementing scalable solutions that align with organizational goals. Proven ability to navigate complex challenges by evaluating variables, anticipating obstacles, and deploying targeted strategies that drive results.
  • Cross-Cultural Communication & Relationship Building - Experienced in collaborating with diverse stakeholders across geographic and cultural contexts, ensuring respectful, inclusive, and effective communication. Adept at building trust-based relationships that support long-term partnerships and team cohesion.
  • Fundraising Process Knowledge - Familiar with the end-to-end fundraising lifecycle, from prospect research and donor cultivation to proposal development and stewardship. Able to align donor interests with organizational priorities, supporting both short-term campaigns and long-term funding strategies.
  • Analytical Thinking & Data Interpretation - Able to distill complex data into actionable insights that inform strategy and decision-making. Comfortable using both quantitative and qualitative analysis to evaluate program performance, donor trends, and operational efficiencies.
  • Project Management & Prioritization - Demonstrated success managing multiple projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines and budget constraints. Skilled at setting clear priorities, coordinating cross-functional teams, and adapting to evolving demands without losing focus on key objectives.
  • Accountability & Results Orientation - Driven by measurable impact and committed to delivering high-quality outcomes. Takes ownership of responsibilities, follows through consistently, and maintains focus on performance goals and continuous improvement.

Compensation:

Operation Smile is committed to pay transparency. The anticipated salary range for this position is $76,800 to $105,000, which may vary slightly based on a candidate’s experience, qualifications, and geographic location.
