Sr. Cloud Engineer

Octal Philippines Inc. is looking for a skilled Cloud Engineer to join our growing team. In this role, you will be responsible for designing and implementing Cloud-based solutions that enhance our infrastructure and improve our services. You will work closely with development teams to migrate existing applications to the cloud, ensure security compliance, and optimize cloud resources for cost and performance.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and deploy scalable cloud-based solutions in platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
• Ensure high availability and performance of cloud-based applications.
• Monitor and manage cloud resources, providing support for troubleshooting and performance tuning.
• Implement security best practices and compliance measures in cloud services.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define and implement new cloud initiatives.
• Create documentation and guides for cloud resources and architecture.

Qualifications:

• Cloud Certification with one of the public cloud providers (e.g., AWS Certified Solutions Architect, AWS Certified DevOps Engineer, or equivalent).
• Strong communication skills with the ability to build customer confidence and establish trusted partnerships.
• Ability to create and deliver technical documents, artifacts, and documentation (e.g., architecture diagrams, runbooks, process flows).
• Analytical mindset with the ability to troubleshoot complex issues and translate technical challenges into business impacts.
• Experience with monitoring and logging tools (e.g., CloudWatch, Splunk, Datadog) for performance optimization and incident management.
• Familiarity with Agile methodologies and tools (e.g., Jira, Confluence).
