Our employees are not only part of history, they're making history.Northrop Grumman Corporate office is seeking a Corporate Strategy Director, responsible for developing key elements of the Northrop Grumman Corporate Strategy, leading the development of market and functional strategies, developing insights through market and competitive research, supporting the executive leadership team in strategic decision making, and engaging with stakeholders to drive growth and performance improvement initiatives.
The successful candidate will have experience in developing corporate and market strategies, a track record of successfully leading cross-functional teams, and strong written and verbal communication skills
Job Scope and Responsibilities Include:
Corporate Strategic Planning
Lead elements of the corporate strategic planning process, including providing corporate guidance to sectors, providing research support and insights for sectors, and developing Board-level presentation material.Market and Functional Strategies
Lead and / or support cross-sector and cross-functional teams in the development of actionable growth strategies.Market Research and Competitive Analysis
Develop insights on market trends, customer priorities and budgets, competitive dynamics, and emerging technologies to identify opportunities and threats.Gap and Investment Identification
Identify capability gaps and opportunities, and collaborate with the M&A, strategic partnerships, analysis center and CTO organizations to assess and prioritize options that address gaps / opportunities.Business Case Development
Lead the development of business cases, including financial models and risk assessments, for new initiatives and projects.Communication and Collaboration
Effectively communicate strategic plans and priorities to stakeholders, including executive leadership, board members, and employees.Performance Assessment
Track progress against strategic goals and key performance indicators, providing regular updates and insights to leadership.Team Leadership and Development
Provide guidance, mentorship and developmental coaching to build strategy team capabilities.Strategic Advisory Role
Provide insights and analytical support to corporate and sector teams and be valued as a trusted advisor for the development and execution of growth strategies.
This leadership opportunity will be located at the Northrop Grumman HQ office in Falls Church, VA.
Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree with 12 years of experience, or a master’s degree with 10 years of experience, in a related discipline (Business or Finance).
Experience leading the development of business strategies.
Understanding of the aerospace and defense industry.
Experience in large and complex organizations leading projects and cross-functional teams.
Excellent communication, writing, and presentation skills.
Proven collaborator, with ability to work across multiple disciple areas.
Ability to thrive in a dynamic environment, adapting to changing priorities.
Preferred Qualifications:
Master’s degree or higher in business or finance.
Experience in strategy consulting or in a corporate strategy role.
In-depth knowledge and experience of NG and U.S. Government products and systems, missions and operations.
Ability to lead and motivate teams, delegate tasks, and foster a collaborative environment.
Ability to clearly articulate complex ideas, present findings to diverse audiences, and communicate effectively with senior executives.
