Comcast NBCUniversal has announced its intent to create a new publicly traded company ('Versant') comprised of most of NBCUniversal's cable television networks, including USA Network, CNBC, MSNBC, Oxygen, E!, SYFY and Golf Channel along with complementary digital assets Fandango, Rotten Tomatoes, GolfNow, GolfPass, and SportsEngine. The well-capitalized company will have significant scale as a pure-play set of assets anchored by leading news, sports and entertainment content. The spin-off is expected to be completed during 2025.
Job Description
This is a part-time project / limited term position with an estimated duration of up to 7 - 9 months, unless otherwise amended or terminated as deliverables within this project are completed.
As a Olympics Programming Coordinator, you will report directly to the Sr. Manager, Olympic Programming for NBC Olympics, supporting projects related to both Olympic and Paralympic Games.
Responsibilities:
- Create, maintain, and distribute Olympic- and Paralympic-related schedules and documents
- Build relationships and collaborate with internal and external stakeholders as it relates to Games projects and development of new in-Games scheduling tool
- Become a point of contact and expert in Games rules and competition formats for all Olympic and Paralympic sports
- Stay current as a resource to assist teams with information on key U.S. and international athletes and storylines
- Handle administrative duties for department SVP, Director, and Sr. Manager as needed, including phone coverage, coordination and scheduling of meetings, and more
Qualifications
Basic Qualifications
- Bachelors’ Degree or equivalent work experience
- Minimum one (1+) year of administrative and/or internship experience
- Proficiency across Microsoft Office Suite (including Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel)
Desired Characteristics:
- Detail-oriented and able to handle multiple projects simultaneously
- Computer proficiency with demonstrated ability to learn and navigate new systems
- Excellent communication skills
