THE JOB:
Join MGM Resorts International and help power the HR technology that supports our legendary hospitality. As the HCM Systems Lead – Operations, you’ll play a key role in maintaining the stability of our Workday environment, delivering best-in-class support, and driving continuous improvements across core HR systems.
THE DAY-TO-DAY:
Serve as a Workday subject matter expert supporting multiple HCM modules (Core HCM, Absence, Compensation, Talent, Benefits, and more)
Lead the intake, analysis, and execution of configuration and enhancement requests
Troubleshoot and resolve complex system issues and operational support tickets
Partner with HR Centers of Excellence, Payroll, and Technology teams to align system changes with business and compliance needs
Manage testing and release cycles including unit, regression, and user acceptance testing
Ensure data integrity, enforce system governance, and maintain security roles and business process configurations
Support large-scale data uploads and organizational updates using EIBs
Monitor compliance with internal audit and regulatory standards
Create clear documentation and provide guidance to end users and HR partners
Identify recurring issues and contribute to long-term system improvements and planning
THE IDEAL CANDIDATE:
3+ Years experience in HCM System Administration, preferably Workday
2+ Years experience in hands-on experience with system testing, data uploads (EIBs), and user support.
Experience supporting HR operations, including configuration, troubleshooting, and system maintenance.
Exposure to multiple Workday modules (e.g., Absence, Compensation, Talent Management, Benefits, Recruiting, Learning).
Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to work independently
Proficiency in Excel (pivot tables, formulas) and HR reporting tools
Excellent communication skills and ability to translate business needs into technical solutions
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience required
