A Day in the Life

This role will lead Production Planning, Purchasing and site warehousing teams at Warsaw and Memphis manufacturing sites to deliver business results in Service and Inventory goal by developing high performing teams.

As the Site Supply Chain Manager, you will lead a team to manage all aspects of Production planning , Operations Scheduling, MPS, Capacity planning, Material Requirement Planning (MRP), Release of Purchase orders & work Orders. This role will work closely with site leadership, Manufacturing, Supply Planning, Finance, New Product and Supply Management.
You will establish standard work, leverage standard tier mechanism and drive continuous improvements plans.

Responsibilities may include the following and other duties may be assigned.

  • Act as key participant/owner in monthly SIOP cycle managing long-term rough-cut capacity views with scenario planning being able to identify and escalate exceptions for business consideration with the suggestion of possible scenarios and solutions
  • Lead Operations scheduling Tier 3 and Material Tier 2 meeting to highlight and resolve exceptions.
  • Accountable for Plan vs Actual with clear Root cause Analysis, with actions, owners and date. Ideal candidate to have very high level of accountability and influence right business decision and drive results. 
  • Be single point of contact for Site leadership, Manufacturing, Global Supply team, finance teams and plant operations with regards to volume planning, Plan vs actual, and inventory
  • Champion and lead capacity constrained Master Production Schedule, MRP to align manufacturing to Demand to have Zero Backorder and Backlog 
  • Support Network transfer projects and balance ramp down to ensure no loss of service
  •  Ensure right Material planning, Purchase execution and right level of material availability to ensure no line down. Lead VMI/ Supplier integration work
  •  Be a Coach and Mentor to Purchase and Production planning team
  •  Function skillfully as the key core team member for large-scale and/or complex projects providing value that reaches beyond the supply chain role.
  •  Have strategic view to understand overall Supply chain to exceed site Service KPI

Must Have: Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree and a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience, or advanced degree with a minimum of 3 years of relevant experience


Nice to Have

  • Working knowledge of SAP, Blue Yonder and Power BI
  • Software skills including MS Office (MS Excel (advanced) and PowerPoint)
  • Knowledge of Production Planning, Supplier Mgmt., warehousing
  • Medical Device/ Medical Supplies Manufacturing experience
  • APICS CPIM/CSCP
  • Experience implementing/ utilizing LEAN/Six Sigma/A3 techniques a plus.
  • 10 years of experience of working in a Supply Chain in Manufacturing environment.
  • Proven ability to build relationships and work effectively as a leader and/or team member with cross-functional teams
  • Ability to generate customer value - Listening, understanding, anticipating and solving
  • Demonstrated ability to drive change and influence key stakeholders in a global and matrix organization environment.
  • Move with speed ad decisiveness
  • Demonstrated experience of leading and motivating high performing team

Salary ranges for U.S (excl. PR) locations (USD):$114,400.00 - $171,600.00

This position is eligible for a short-term incentive called the Medtronic Incentive Plan (MIP).

The base salary range is applicable across the United States, excluding Puerto Rico and specific locations in California. The offered rate complies with federal and local regulations and may vary based on factors such as experience, certification/education, market conditions, and location. Compensation and benefits information pertains solely to candidates hired within the United States (local market compensation and benefits will apply for others).

The following benefits and additional compensation are available to those regular employees who work 20+ hours per week: Health, Dental and vision insurance, Health Savings Account, Healthcare Flexible Spending Account, Life insurance, Long-term disability leave, Dependent daycare spending account, Tuition assistance/reimbursement, and Simple Steps (global well-being program).
