MBI Health Services is seeking a dedicated DayTreatment Program Facilitator (Independent Contractor) to provide structured group and individual counseling for adults facing co-occurring mental health and substance use challenges. As a key member of our Day Treatment Program, you’ll engage participants in meaningful clinical discussions, psychoeducation, and recovery-based interventions—helping to improve daily functioning and quality of life.

Major Duties and Responsibilities

  • Maintain confidentiality of records relating to clients’ treatment.
  • Collect information about clients through interviews, tests, and evaluation of day-to-day functioning within work, family, and other routines to identify areas needing continued support, resources, and treatment.
  • Provide therapeutic services to clients through individual and group sessions that are consistent with current research, professional standards, and MBI’s vision and values.
  • Ensure that group sessions maintain a minimum of four (4) participating individuals to meet program standards for therapeutic engagement and documentation eligibility.
  • Collaborate with the MBI leadership team to identify, develop, coordinate, and evaluate clinical and non-clinical training for staff to ensure consistency with MBI’s standard of practice and continued advancement of MBI Health Services.
  • Attend staff meetings, supervisory conferences, and other activities that support the smooth functioning of clinical operations.
  • Report for duty by 9:00 AM, Monday through Friday, unless otherwise directed in writing by the Day Treatment Program Director.
  • Submit a proposed weekly list of group facilitation topics to the Day Treatment Program Director in advance, with a focus on addiction, co-occurring disorders, and other therapeutic themes.
  • Provide individual counseling to consumers exhibiting co-occurring disorders related to substance use and mental health.
  • Review the progress of at least 50% of consumers participating in group sessions each month and document findings accordingly.
  • Collaborate with each consumer’s assigned Community Support Worker (CSW) on a quarterly basis to review progress and provide feedback on strengths and areas for improvement.
  • Submit group facilitation notes to the Day Treatment Care Coordinator within 24–48 hours of each group session for review and approval.
  • Correct and resubmit any documentation errors (e.g., Red X notes) within 24 hours of notification.
  • Participate in weekly one-on-one supervision sessions (three per month) and monthly group supervision with the Program Director or as otherwise scheduled.
  • Engage in professional development and training opportunities, with prior approval from the Program Director.
  • Notify the Program Director immediately of any inappropriate behavior, including but not limited to intoxication, verbal abuse, threats, physical altercations, theft, or any other conduct deemed inappropriate by program leadership.
  • Perform other duties as determined by the management of MBI Health Services, LLC.

 

Qualifications

  • Some college coursework required preferred
  • Behavioral health experience preferred
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Strong organizational, computer, and time management skills required
  • Previous work in the mental health field and/or social services/social work, preferred
  • Must pass background check.
