Global Head of Process - Maersk Ground Freight and E-commerce Logistics
Job Description
Global Process Lead (E-commerce and Ground Freight) – Shape Maersk’s End‑to‑End Process Excellence
Why this role matters?
At Maersk we re‑imagine supply‑chains so every customer – and every colleague – can thrive. As our new Global Process Lead (GPL) you will co‑architect the enterprise process landscape that powers our digital products and ambitious growth agenda. You will balance strategic vision with hands‑on execution, bringing people together across functions, geographies, and cultures to deliver solutions that are scalable, inclusive, and sustainable.
We are intentional about building diverse leadership teams. If you’re excited by this role but your experience looks a little different, we still encourage you to apply.
What you’ll be doing
Set the vision for your product domain and translate it into a clear, sequenced roadmap. Co‑own the end‑to‑end (E2E) process capability model with peer GPLs and Product leadership.
Champion the highest feasible global standard while allowing thoughtful local adaptation.
Design future‑ready processes (L1‑L5). Map As‑Is, design To‑Be, and define outcome & process metrics. Embed risk controls and ownership (frontline & GSC) from day one.
Make change stick. Serve as gate‑keeper for go‑live readiness; lead change‑management and training for frontline teams and suppliers.
Use hypercare metrics, Gemba walks and “voice of customer” feedback to refine adoption.
Drive continuous improvement & automation. Quantify unhappy flows, own action plans, and celebrate measurable wins in cost, quality, and customer experience. Govern master data policy and quality for your domain.
Support integrations & innovation. Evaluate and integrate best practices during M&A. Act as initiative owner for strategic programmes when appointed by ELT.
How success is measured
. Productivity & value realisation
. Process standardisation, digitisation, and user adoption (NPS)
. Master data quality & process maturity level
. Financial impact on modernised platforms
. Closure of risk & control findings
What you’ll bring
Strategic curiosity – you connect dots between corporate strategy and day‑to‑day process design.
Inclusive leadership – you build psychological safety, coach diverse teams, and recognise every voice.
Analytical confidence – you translate data into decisions, define crisp KPIs, and surface risks early.
Optimisation mindset – you have a track record of simplifying complex flows and automating at scale.
Business acumen – you understand how processes unlock customer value and healthy P&L outcomes.
If you’ve led global process change, whether from a liner shipping giant, a fast‑scaling tech firm, or an industry we can learn from, let’s talk.
What we offer
Flexible working hours and hybrid options that support life inside and outside work.
Parental leave for all parents and family‑friendly benefits from day one.
Mentoring & sponsorship programmes with senior leaders committed to accelerating female careers.
A culture that celebrates teaming over heroics – collaboration, kindness, and continuous learning drive our results.
