Chief Financial Officer

Purpose/Summary:

This position serves as an officer of Maersk Line, Limited and its wholly owned subsidiaries.  The position is responsible for all financial management aspects of the consolidated Company.  The CFO provides financial leadership as part of the Management Leadership  Team and is the financial liaison between the Company and the Audit Committee.

Key Responsibilities:

• Ensure the financial processes of the Company are managed to safeguard the Company’s assets and to provide management with accurate and timely financial information to facilitate decision making.

• Provide oversight to the Treasury strategies of the Company to optimize the capital structure of the Company.  Evaluate analysis of investment opportunities including compliance with Company prescribed policies and procedures and lead activities to appropriately fund approved investments.

• Ensure financial functions of the Company are in compliance with appropriate accounting guidelines (IFRS and U.S. GAAP) as well as APMM procedures. 

• Provide leadership to all areas of the Company with regard to corporate governance.

• Provide leadership to the Company to achieve strategic and operational goals in compliance with legal and regulatory requirements.

• Responsible for financial reporting to the Board of Directors.  Additionally, responsible for coordinating meetings of the Company’s Audit Committee and providing reporting to the committee as requested.

• Provide direct leadership to the corporate finance personnel.

• Supports commitment to safety and other selected company standards and certifications

• Performs other position related duties as specified by senior management

Position Specifications:

Education and Experience

• Bachelor of Business Administration required with a major in Accounting or Finance.  (Degree must be from an accredited institution)

• Certified Public Accountant license required.

• Minimum 10 years’ experience in progressive management roles.

• Management of large work groups is preferred.

• Transportation industry experience preferred.

• Government contracting experience preferred.

• 8 – 12 years of functional work experience

• Significant management experience

• Must be a US Citizen

• Must be eligible for a Secret Clearance

• Demonstrated strong to superior skills in the following areas:  Leadership, Communications (oral and written), Teambuilding, Organization & Planning, Presentation

• Superior analytical skills
