Lime is looking for a strategic, analytical, and transformational Director of Global Logistics & Distribution for its supply chain team, reporting into the Sr Director, Global Supply Chain Planning & Logistics. You will own all aspects of managing and structuring our global logistics and distribution network.

We are a remote first company and welcome applications from across the United States. However, we will not be hiring within the San Francisco or New York City areas.
What you’ll do:
Strategic Leadership and Planning
Lead annual strategic planning for global logistics and distribution, ensuring alignment with overall business growth objectives and long-term scalability.
Assess global logistics and distribution networks, including Lime-operated and 3PL operations, to identify risks and opportunities, and develop plans to strengthen foundational capabilities.
Drive the annual budgeting and forecasting process for logistics and distribution, maintaining accountability for variances and performance against budget throughout the year.
Operational Excellence and Continuous Improvement
Conduct cost and risk analyses across global distribution operations, using data-driven insights to continuously refine processes and drive efficiency.
Enhance logistics and distribution performance through the development and refinement of key metrics and KPIs, ensuring consistent progress toward operational goals.
Vendor and Contract Management
In partnership with Strategic Sourcing and Legal, lead global logistics and distribution RFPs and manage vendor selection based on ROI, benefits, and risks.
Partner with Strategic Sourcing to help drive contract negotiations, including service terms, rates, and SLAs, to ensure optimal vendor performance and alignment with business needs.
Compliance and Inventory Governance
Oversee global customs, regulatory, duty, and tax compliance programs in coordination with the Global Trade Compliance Manager, ensuring full adherence to international regulations.
Collaborate with inventory management teams to ensure global compliance with inventory-related principles and processes across internal and partner distribution networks.
Team Development and Leadership
Manage, develop, and grow the global logistics and distribution leaders and their teams, fostering a high-performance culture focused on continuous improvement.
About you:
10 - 15+ years of experience managing global distribution and logistics functions.
Minimum of 5+ years of experience at a senior management level, preferably Director, building and managing global teams across logistics and distribution functions.
Previous experience managing DG & Hazmat related packaging, handling, storing and transportation requirements for Lithium Ion batteries.
Prior experience developing and implementing global logistics and distribution strategies.
A critical and creative thinker, you find solutions “outside the box” when needed to accomplish goals and execute on strategy.
Minimum of 10+ years experience with working knowledge of distribution and logistics services within EU, NA and APAC regions, spanning all modes of transportation and distribution functions.
Excellent written and verbal communication with prior experience speaking and presenting at an executive level.
Able to effectively educate & influence stakeholders lacking supply chain experience about global operations.
Experience with NetSuite (or other ERPs), WMS and TMS platforms.
