Eli Lilly and Company seeks a Computational Chemist (R5-R7) to support the transformation and development of cheminformatics platforms. Develop scientific software applications to perform large¬scale computational chemistry and cheminformatics analysis. Evaluate emerging computational chemistry, cheminformatics, artificial intelligence, and machine learning methodologies (including natural language processing), using public and proprietary data. Develop backend and middle layer capabilities and key components of user interfaces to support medicinal chemistry teams. Implement, deploy, and maintain software tools and applications in a global, multisite Linux environment. #LI-DNI
Position requires a Ph.D. in Computer Science, Cheminformatics, Computational Chemistry, Bioinformatics, or a related field, and 2 years of academic or employment experience with de novo design, predictive modeling, integrative modeling, artificial intelligence (including natural language processing), and data mining. Academic or employment experience must include a minimum of: 2 years of experience with leveraging artificial intelligence and machine learning for design and development of predictive models, including natural language processing applications to chemistry data; 2 years of experience with generative design software; 2 years of experience with managing data pertaining to potency and ADMET parameters; and 2 years of experience with Python and cheminformatics toolkits. Part-time telecommuting permitted. Up to 10% domestic and international travel required. #LI-DNI

Actual compensation will depend on a candidate’s education, experience, skills, and geographic location. The anticipated wage for this position is
$199,558Full-time equivalent employees also will be eligible for a company bonus (depending, in part, on company and individual performance).
