Leavitt Group in Cedar City, UT is looking for a Commercial Lines Customer Service Associate for their growing office.
Description:
The Commercial Lines Customer Service Associate is responsible for working with the Account Manager in providing timely and professional service for the clients. The CSA is expected to develop a knowledge of assigned accounts and is expected to meet the department’s Standard of Excellence for client service, professionalism and work attitude.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Processes emails in agency boxes and moves to Executive folder if pertains to a renewal
Responds to customer inquiries regarding policy changes etc. in a timely manner
Places Certificate requests in appropriate folder or processes them when needed
Assists Account Manager with marketing during the marketing and quotation process
Assists clients/policyholders in filing claims or making claim updates
Processes renewal certificates
Documents all client conversations with details
Follows department procedures for processing and preparation of customer correspondence, certificates of insurance, binder, cancellation requests, insurance ID cards and internal correspondence as requested, ensuring that activities and follow-ups are set and the client file in the agency management system is updated and consistent
Daily phone coverage except for breaks and lunch. All conversations recorded and documented with clients and details.
Backs up Account Manager on phone calls
Attends Team meetings, Carrier meetings and continued educational classes
Sets priorities, organizes and manages workflow to ensure efficient, timely and accurate processing of transactions and other responsibilities
Maintains a professional and effective relationship with clients, co-workers, carriers, vendors and other business contacts
Keeps informed regarding industry information, new product information and continuously improves knowledge and performance
Interacts with others effectively by utilizing good communication skills, cooperating purposefully and providing information and guidance, as needed, to achieve the business goals.
Fulfills other duties as assigned
Skills and Knowledge:
High School diploma or general education degree (GED)
Must be able to communicate information and respond to questions (both verbally and in written form) effectively with clients, company personnel, and others
Possesses the ability to perform work in a dependable, consistent, and timely manner
Demonstrates the ability to follow instructions, responds to management direction, and solicits feedback to improve performance
Possesses current Property, Casualty Insurance License
B a s i c Knowledge of Insurance product
Knowledge of insurance rating and underwriting
Ability to Multi-Task
Ability to handle and pacify difficult customers.
Ability to cope in a fast-paced job environment.
Ability to analyze all situations and solve problems efficiently.
Anticipate, meet and/or exceed customer needs, wants and expectations.
Takes initiative in learning and implementing new concepts, and technologies
Ability to read and learn to interpret documents such as policy forms.
Ability to learn how to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest and commissions and percentages.
Working Conditions/Needs:
High pressured, fast paced environment with significant telephone and personal disruption.
Must have an ergonomic desk and chair. Desk large enough for two large monitors and phone (provided by Leavitt)
Quiet space – able to have conversations with clients, carriers, co-workers without background noise (children/animals).
Must have highspeed internet connection – 50MB Up and Down or Higher. (Your internet provider will understand these numbers).
Internet connection (not Wi-Fi) in your work space.
Leavitt Group offers a competitive hourly wage and an attractive benefits package that includes:
$50,000 - $60,000 depending on experience
