Description
The Procurement and Inventory Manager is responsible for overseeing the sourcing, purchasing, and inventory management of food and beverage supplies, ensuring quality, cost-efficiency, and seamless operations. A hospitality background is preferred, as this role requires expertise in vendor relations, supply chain optimization, and inventory control within a fast-paced service environment. This role is essential for maintaining a smooth and efficient food and beverage supply chain, ensuring quality products while optimizing costs and compliance.
Key Responsibilities
Procurement & Vendor Management
- Identify and negotiate with suppliers to secure high-quality food and beverage products at competitive pricing.
- Establish and maintain relationships with vendors, distributors, and local producers to enhance supply chain reliability.
- Monitor industry trends and sourcing strategies to ensure a cost-effective and sustainable purchasing approach.
- Ensure all procurement activities comply with food safety regulations and company policies.
Inventory Control & Management
- Maintain optimal stock levels to support operations while minimizing waste and overstocking.
- Oversee inventory tracking systems to monitor product movement, expiration dates, and usage trends.
- Conduct regular audits to ensure accuracy in stock counts and prevent discrepancies.
- Implement strategies for cost reduction, waste management, and efficiency improvements.
Budgeting & Cost Control
- Develop and manage the food and beverage procurement budget to meet financial targets.
- Identify areas for cost savings without compromising quality or customer experience.
- Work closely with finance and operations teams to align inventory expenses with overall business goals.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in supply chain management, logistics, business administration, or a related field requested.
- Proven experience in supply chain, inventory management, logistics, and procurement roles required.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and make data-driven decisions.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
- Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
- Enjoys the excitement of building processes and cross functional collaboration in a fast-growing company
