The Role

We're looking for a dynamic individual like you, who can revolutionize relationship management, drive account growth, and boost profitability. In this role, you'll have the power to create, maintain, and develop deep customer connections, bringing the very best of Kyndryl to the table and building trusted relationships with top-level executives.

As a Customer Partner, you'll be at the forefront of driving proactive account growth primarily for new clients in the northern and eastern regions of Germany. Your responsibilities will include developing strong relationships with customers and key business executives, answering to client queries and identifying new business opportunities among these customers.

Not only will you lead your Portfolio accounts, but you'll also be the driving force behind generating new opportunities and expanding existing work into larger scopes and new capabilities. By building a strong go-to-market pipeline with our partners, you'll join forces to pursue and conquer new deals, taking Kyndryl to unprecedented heights.

With your deep knowledge of best practices in IT and With your deep knowledge of external best practices and managing a set of regional accounts, you understand how they can impact our customers. By staying ahead of the curve, you'll continuously provide innovative solutions that position Kyndryl as a leader in the market.

As an owner of the account P&L, you'll take charge of customer satisfaction, ensuring that our clients are not only happy but also successful. Integrity is at the core of everything you do, and you'll go above and beyond to ensure account compliance and maintain a stellar reputation.

The Northeast region includes Schleswig-Holstein, Hamburg, Niedersachsen, Bremen, Mecklenburg-Vorpommern, Brandenburg, Berlin, Sachsen-Anhalt, Sachsen and Thüringen. As candidate you should be located in or close to these federal states.

Responsibilities:

  • Serve as the main point of contact for all customer account management matters
  • Build and maintain strong, long-lasting client relationships
  • Negotiate contracts and close agreements to maximize profit and growth
  • Develop trusted advisor relationships with customer stakeholders and executive sponsors
  • Ensure timely and successful delivery of solutions according to customer needs and objectives
  • Communicate progress of initiatives to internal and external stakeholders
  • Develop new business with existing clients and identify areas for improvement to meet sales quotas
  • Forecast and track key account metrics and prepare reports on account status
  • Collaborate with other sales teams to identify and grow opportunities within your territory
  • Manage challenging client requests or issue escalations as needed

Required Skills and Experience:

  • Proven work experience (5+ years) in account management or a relevant role 
  • Ability to communicate, present, and influence key stakeholders at all levels, including executive and C-level
  • Experience with CRM software and Microsoft 365
  • Excellent listening, negotiation, and presentation skills
  • Experience delivering client-focused solutions
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and demands while maintaining attention to detail
  • Strong communication skills in a complex matrix with clients, external and internal partners, as well as cross-functional teams
  • Knowledge of business and technology trends and industry best practices, especially within IT
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • BA/BS or MA/MS degree in IT, Business Administration, Sales, or a relevant field

Preferred Skills and Experience

  • Bachelor's degree or Master’s degree
  • Consultative selling experience in technical solutions
  • Relationship management experience
  • Subject matter expertise in 1+ areas (e.g. Cloud, Network, Cybersecurity, AI, ...)
  • Cross-functional team management experience
  • Communication skills in a complex matrix with clients, external and internal partners as well as cross-functional teams
