The Content Specialist will author and edit print, online, and multimedia content across a broad array of financial topics included with the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA), Financial Risk Manager (FRM), and Chartered Alternative Investment Analyst (CAIA) curricula. This role is a key contributor in the development of course materials and is expected to collaborate closely on projects led by other product team members. The Content Specialist will be expected to develop effective and efficient study tools to improve the customer experience.

Primary/Key Responsibilities

  • Work closely with the senior product team to author, edit, and review quantitative and qualitative content, ensuring relevance, quality, and accuracy
  • Create new content, with particular emphasis on writing multiple choice format questions based on the Kaplan Way for learning
  • Engage in continuous improvement exercises to increase the value of products by suggesting improvements and/or additions to existing content
  • Ensure timely delivery at the highest quality level
  • Participate as a team member by communicating project status and work with other teams to meet tight deadlines
  • Test products prior to release for content quality and technical aspects to ensure best in class customer experience
  • Perform additional duties as assigned to achieve organizational goals

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Economics, or Accounting
  • 3 years experience in finance industry or academic finance experience at the university level 
  • Demonstrated excellence in content development
  • Ability to proof and edit technical material with high attention to detail
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to multitask
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office and Google Docs

Preferred Qualifications

  • CFA Charterholder, FRM holder, CAIA Charterholder
  • Master’s Degree in Finance, Economics, or Accounting

For full-time positions, Kaplan has two Salary Grades, this position is Salary Grade B: $64,000 - $202,600. Actual compensation for this role is determined by several factors including but not limited to job level, candidate's skills, experience, and education, among other factors determined by the business.
