Are you an experienced Commissioning Project Manager EMEA with a passion for high-performance engineering, complex problem-solving, and delivering mission-critical infrastructure at scale? Join IRM and lead the commissioning of some of the most advanced data center projects across the UK and Europe.

Your role in our mission

  • Take the lead on commissioning processes (L0–L6) across multiple high-value data center projects in the UK and Europe. Deliver on performance, safety, and quality—every time.

  • Shape and implement commissioning strategies that align with IRM’s global roadmap. Develop best-in-class procedures, scripts, and testing frameworks to elevate execution standards.

  • Manage commissioning agents and subcontractors, and collaborate closely with architects, engineers, and vendors to ensure every system is delivered with excellence and precision.

  • Oversee MEP systems testing and integration, and lead the transition from construction to fully commissioned operations—on schedule and fully documented.

  • Drive a culture of accountability, regulatory compliance, and post-project learning. Ensure every outcome contributes to future efficiency and innovation.

  • Engage directly with senior stakeholders and end users. Report on programme performance, challenge assumptions, and ensure stakeholder alignment at every stage.

Valued skills and experience

  • Proven success managing full-cycle data center commissioning projects, including test equipment, QA/QC, and commissioning agent oversight. in-depth knowledge of critical systems (UPS, switchgear, generators, HVAC) and strong familiarity with Level 0–6 commissioning processes.

  • Background in design or construction project management, ideally in mission-critical environments.

  • Ability to lead cross-functional teams, influence stakeholders, and clearly articulate technical issues and resolutions.

  • Degree in Engineering (B.Eng., BSEE, or equivalent experience) with strong command of MS Office, MS Project, and Google Workspace.

  • Track record of delivering complex projects on time and to the highest safety, quality, and operational standards.
