Position Summary

We are seeking a seasoned and forward-thinking Vice President of Commercial Strategy to lead the development of our strategic approach to the programmatic advertising ecosystem. This role will be responsible for supporting Mediabrands’ commercial positioning and partnership strategy across a wide range of technology, data, and media collaborators.

This individual will architect a long-term roadmap for how the company engages with the programmatic marketplace, drives innovation through collaboration, and delivers sustainable revenue growth. This role requires a strong command of the programmatic value chain, a sharp commercial mindset, and the ability to synthesize market trends into actionable strategies.

 

Key Responsibilities:

Strategic Leadership & Vision

  • Develop and lead the company’s programmatic partnership strategy in alignment with corporate growth goals and evolving market dynamics.
  • Identify and pursue strategic opportunities that enhance addressability, measurement, and monetization.

Ecosystem Strategy Development

  • Establish a cohesive approach to partnering across the programmatic ecosystem, including technology platforms, data collaborators, and measurement solutions.
  • Build scalable commercial models and engagement frameworks that unlock mutual value and long-term growth.

Market Intelligence & Innovation

  • Monitor emerging trends in programmatic advertising, privacy regulation, data collaboration, and identity, and translate insights into strategic direction.
  • Anticipate shifts in the ecosystem and proactively shape the company’s positioning in response to industry evolution.

Cross-Functional Alignment

  • Collaborate with internal leaders across product, finance, legal, revenue, and operations to ensure partnership strategies are fully integrated into business planning.
  • Lead partner evaluations and RFIs, aligning cross-functional input to assess strategic fit and long-term value.

Executive Engagement

  • Build and nurture senior-level relationships across strategic partners and key industry stakeholders.
  • Represent the company in external forums, strategic discussions, and high-level partner negotiations.

 

Qualifications

  • 10+ years of experience in digital advertising, programmatic strategy, or related areas, with a strong foundation in commercial and ecosystem strategy.
  • Deep understanding of the programmatic landscape, including data, identity, and measurement trends.
  • Demonstrated success in developing strategic partnerships and long-range commercial plans.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and executive influence skills.
  • Bachelor’s degree required; MBA or advanced degree preferred.

The salary range for this position is posted below.  Where an employee or prospective employee is paid within this range will depend on, among other factors, actual ranges for current/former employees in the subject position, market considerations, budgetary considerations, tenure and standing with the Company (applicable to current employees), as well as the employee’s/applicant’s skill set, level of experience, and qualifications.
