The team
You will join the Global Change Execution (GCE) department, part of ING’s COO Tech & Transformation organization. Within GCE, you’ll be a member of the Change Expert Team Risk, based in Amsterdam, reporting to the Head of Global Change & Transformation Capabilities.
This team delivers regulatory change programs across domains such as Financial Risk, COO Risk, and Credit Risk. Key initiatives include Valuation Risk, Credit Reporting, and FX Settlement Risk, with recent successes like the go-live of Basel IV drawing widespread attention.
Roles and responsibilities
As a Senior Change Expert at ING, you will lead high-impact, cross-functional initiatives that are critical to ING’s strategic ambitions and regulatory responsibilities. In this role, you will:
Orchestrate and drive complex, cross-border change initiatives with energy, structure, and clarity across tribes, functions, business lines, and countries.
Set up and manage the right governance structures to ensure transparency, accountability, and decision-making at the appropriate levels.
Identify, engage, and align key stakeholders from across the organization, bringing the right people together to drive program success.
Work effectively with senior stakeholders across diverse domains, managing their expectations and input with confidence and diplomacy.
Monitor progress proactively, ensuring alignment and timely delivery across all workstreams.
Maintain focus and momentum through excellent communication and stakeholder engagement.
Operate in a dynamic, international environment where your work directly influences ING’s risk landscape and transformation agenda.
Collaborate with a global community of change experts to share best practices and continuously grow your skills and impact.
Your leadership will be instrumental in delivering complex change initiatives within the Risk domain in a structured and effective way.

At least 8 years of experience in (agile) program management in an international context and preferably in the financial industry.
Master’s degree in Economics, Business Administration, Change Management, or equivalent. Relevant certifications (e.g., MSP, Agile PgM) are a plus.
Demonstrated experience in Risk Management and/or driving strategic regulatory change.
Strong understanding of the banking regulatory landscape, supervisory frameworks, business operations and data management requirements.
Proven ability to manage stakeholders at all levels, including executive leadership. Including demonstrated experience with ensuring ownership of deliverables as well as ensuring key decisions are timely made.
High resilience, cultural agility, and strong organizational awareness.
A proactive, collaborative mindset with a passion for coaching others.
Fluency in English (written and spoken).
