Summary:

The Fraud & Security Strategy & Execution Director is a key leadership role responsible for managing the Product Management, Value Management, and Chief of Staff functions that support Fraud, Disputes, Physical Security, and Oversight functions. This role involves strategic decision-making, executive enablement, and security governance to drive enterprise strategies, manage cross-functional teams, and align security initiatives with business objectives. Additionally, the Director of Technology Strategy defines, promotes, and coordinates the implementation of the organization's long-term technology strategy.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Strategic Leadership:
    • Act as Chief-of-Staff and Strategic Advisor to the Chief Security Officer, providing insights and influencing decision-making.
    • Communicate on behalf of the Chief Security Officer, including progress updates and risks to stakeholders at all levels.
    • Conduct market analysis, peer benchmarking, and trend forecasting to facilitate strategic decision-making.
    • Define department Strategy, Objectives & Key Results, and Metrics (e.g., KPIs, KRIs, Thresholds).
    • Define and continually improve the department Operating Model to streamline operations while expanding control coverage.
    • Identify required technical solutions and priorities to achieve the long-term technology strategy.
    • Assess IT trends and technology innovations that may impact long-term planning and strategic development.
    • Communicate with and advise top management on technology initiatives and guide advancement across multiple business segments.
  • ⁠⁠⁠⁠⁠⁠⁠Product Management:
    • Lead cross-functional Product Teams to execute strategic plans, setting Product priorities based on value and/or trend analysis.
    • Drive technology modernization efforts, helping to reduce annual fraud losses.
    • Develop Business Cases to secure investment for technology and staffing needs, maintaining financial plans for initiatives.
    • Manage resources across Product Management, Scrum, and Reporting teams.
  • ⁠⁠⁠⁠⁠⁠⁠Value Management:
    • Implement Operating Model adjustments, introducing efficiencies while improving collaboration across teams.
    • Support Risk & Compliance initiatives, including coordination of Annual & Ad-hoc Audits.
    • Operationalize collaboration between Fraud & Cybersecurity, including threat hunt and proactive mitigation efforts.
  • Chief of Staff Function:
    • Foster a collaborative and inclusive work environment across the department via cultural initiatives.
    • Lead the Change Management function to champion organizational changes (e.g., technology, Agile delivery, org redesign).
    • Create reports & slide decks for department leadership team, providing high-level progress, risks, and performance insights to company Board of Directors, Executive Leadership Team, and Senior Risk Committees.
    • Execute ad-hoc special projects, identifying operational efficiencies (e.g., process improvements, automation).
    • Perform other duties as assigned.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • 10 years of any of the combined experience: Product Management, Value Management, and Chief of Staff functions that support Fraud, Disputes, Physical Security, and Oversight functions

Compensation Range:

The compensation range represents the low and high end of the base compensation range for this position. Actual compensation will vary and may be above or below the range based on various factors including but not limited to location, experience, and performance.  Colleagues in this position are also eligible to participate in an applicable incentive compensation plan.  In addition, Huntington provides a variety of benefits to colleagues, including health insurance coverage, wellness program, life and disability insurance, retirement savings plan, paid leave programs, paid holidays and paid time off (PTO).
