Temporary Recruiter
Job Description
As a Temporary Recruiter, you will take end-to-end ownership of the hiring process at a fast-paced, early-stage startup. You’ll be responsible for sourcing candidates, conducting outreach, managing screening calls, and coordinating interview logistics. This role is essential in helping the team make high-quality technical and non-technical hires quickly and efficiently. Success in this position requires exceptional organization, strong communication skills, and the ability to operate autonomously.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Source high-quality candidates using defined criteria via tools like Pin
- Run outbound outreach sequences to attract and engage top talent
- Conduct initial screening calls to assess candidate qualifications and cultural fit
- Coordinate first-round and follow-up interviews with hiring managers
- Manage candidate communication throughout the process, including interview logistics, follow-ups, and rejections
- Maintain up-to-date records and candidate notes in the ATS (Ashby)
- Partner closely with the CEO, CTO, hiring managers, and recruiting coordinator to align on hiring needs
- Support hiring across various functions including Product, Growth, Engineering, Customer Success, and Sales
- Prior experience recruiting for early-stage startups (Series A/B preferred)
- Demonstrated ability to hire across both technical and non-technical roles
- Strong organizational skills with a proactive approach to managing recruiting pipelines
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Self-motivated and capable of working independently in a remote environment
- Intuition for evaluating candidate fit and quality
- Comfortable operating in a fast-paced, low-volume, high-target hiring environment
- Quick to learn and navigate recruiting tools (Ashby and Pin experience is a plus)
- Proficiency in Slack and real-time communication practices
- Fluent in English, with a professional and approachable demeanor as the first point of contact for candidates
