Senior Manager, Technical Accounting at a Glance….
The Senior Manager, Technical Accounting - Goodwill/Intangibles is part of our Technical Accounting leadership group and is primarily responsible for overseeing the accounting for Kraft Heinz’s global portfolio of iconic brands and goodwill, which total more than $60 billion.
This is a high-visibility role requiring significant collaboration with internal and external stakeholders, strong analytical skills, keen attention to detail, and the ability to manage shifting priorities and deliver on tight deadlines. In this role, you will also assist with or lead ad hoc projects related to M&A activity, process improvements, and system implementation. Strong financial systems knowledge or experience with deals or valuations is a bonus. Your ability to understand the flow of financial information across systems and teams, collaborate effectively with internal business partners and external specialists, and drive projects to completion will be critical to your success in this role. The ideal candidate will be someone that excels in a team-based environment, comfortable planning and managing large projects with multiple work streams, significant experience working with auditors, and someone with strong communication and documentation skills.
What’s on the menu?
- Oversee team of 4 staff members
- Develop and manage timeline for the annual goodwill and other intangible asset impairment testing
- Review and analyze historical results, long-term forecasts, and forecast support used in valuations
- Liaise with the third-party valuation firm to coordinate deliverables and review inputs and assumptions
- Maintain our Long-Range Planning tool database, including logic updates as needed
- Perform quarterly triggering event and transition impairment tests, as applicable
- Research technical accounting issues and develop positions to ensure compliance with accounting rules
- Prepare and review written position papers and accounting memoranda
- Maintain strong internal controls and related documentation
- Support internal and external audit work
- Preparation of valuation reports internally or with the support of a third-party provider for various ad hoc exercises related to M&A and internal restructurings.
- Oversight of team’s accounting routines (journal entries, account reconciliations, etc.)
- Work closely with external reporting team to draft disclosures related to goodwill and intangible assets in quarterly and annual SEC filings

- Bachelor's degree in Accounting required, CPA preferred
- Minimum of 8 years of Accounting related experience
- Proficiency with SOX compliance from prior public accounting audit experience with an emphasis in SEC engagements and/or industry experience at a large, public multi-national company
- Advanced analytical skills with a high level of Excel proficiency
- Must have prior people management experience, with strong leadership and teamwork skills
- Excellent interpersonal and conflict management skills as well as established communication skills (written and verbal)
- Strong work-ethic, detail-oriented and organized with the ability to work efficiently and achieve results while maintaining a high quality and standard of work
- Ability to effectively lead, manage, and prioritize multiple projects, while operating in a fast-paced, complex global organization with shifting schedules and priorities

New Hire Base Salary Range:
$118,400.00 - $148,000.00Bonus: This position is eligible for a performance-based bonus as provided by the plan terms and governing documents.
The compensation offered will take into account internal equity and may vary depending on the candidate's geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors
