About the Role

We're seeking a motivated Finance Associate to join our Operations team. This role is ideal for professionals with banking analyst experience looking to transition into corporate finance. You'll work closely with senior leadership on financial planning, analysis, reporting, bookkeeping, and strategic initiatives.

This role is 100% on-site at our corporate Headquarters in New York City (SoHo).

Key Responsibilities

Daily Financial Operations

  • Review daily cash position and accounts receivable aging reports each morning

  • Identify and follow up on overdue accounts and payment discrepancies

  • Reconcile daily bank transactions, credit card payments, and electronic transfers

  • Process daily payment runs for accounts payable and vendor obligations

  • Monitor daily cash flow and flag any potential issues to management

  • Review and approve daily expense reports and reimbursements

Financial Analysis & Modeling

  • Build and maintain financial models for budgeting, forecasting, and scenario analysis

  • Conduct variance analysis comparing actual results to budget and prior periods

  • Prepare detailed financial analysis to support business decisions and strategic initiatives for senior leadership

Financial Planning & Budgeting

  • Assist in annual budget preparation and quarterly forecasting processes

  • Prepare rolling forecasts and update financial projections based on business changes

  • Work with the COO to support long-range strategic planning initiatives

  • Analyze market trends and competitive positioning for planning purposes

Reporting & Communications

  • Prepare monthly financial packages for senior management and board presentations

  • Create executive-level reports and presentations with clear insights

  • Support investor relations materials

  • Maintain financial reporting templates and bookkeeping software

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, Computer Science, Mathematics, Engineering, or related quantitative field

  • Strong Excel skills including complex formulas, pivot tables, data analysis, and financial modeling

  • Demonstrated analytical and problem-solving abilities through prior roles, coursework, internships, or projects

  • Ability to work with large datasets and learn new software/systems quickly

  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy when working with numbers

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with PowerBI, Tableau, or similar data visualization tools

  • Proficiency in SQL, Python, R, or other programming languages

  • Previous exposure to corporate finance, FP&A, or fintech

  • Experience building financial models, dashboards, or automated reporting systems

  • Strong PowerPoint skills for executive presentations

Individual pay is determined by skills, qualifications, experience, and location. Compensation details listed in this posting reflect the base salary only, and do not include bonus, equity or sales incentives, if applicable.
