Senior QA Engineer at Handoff

You’ll play a critical role in ensuring the quality and reliability of Handoff’s AI-powered platform by developing scalable test automation frameworks, embedding AI-driven testing strategies, and proactively identifying and resolving quality risks before they impact users. Your work will directly contribute to seamless, bug-free product releases, helping remodelers confidently manage their businesses with Handoff.

What you'll do
  • Develop Scalable Test Automation Frameworks: Build and maintain automated test suites for web and mobile applications, ensuring comprehensive functional, integration, regression, and performance testing.
  • Ensure High-Quality Releases: Enforce a zero-critical-bugs release policy, integrating automated tests into CI/CD pipelines to enable fast and stable deployments.
  • Leverage AI for Test Automation: Implement AI-assisted testing tools to improve test efficiency, defect detection, and execution speed.
  • Collaborate Cross-Functionally: Work closely with product, engineering, and AI teams to proactively identify potential quality risks before development begins.
  • Drive QA Best Practices: Define and document testing standards, automation strategies, and scalability plans to maintain high engineering quality.


About you
  • Bachelor's degree (or similar) in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
  • 5+ years in software testing and automation, with a strong focus on scalable testing strategies.
  • You are proficient in Cypress, Playwright, Appium or other automation tools. Strong experience in integrating test suites into CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions.
  • You are experienced with performance testing tools (k6, Locust, or other similar tools) to ensure system integrity.
  • You are familiar with AI-driven test automation tools and their applications in improving quality assurance processes.
  • You are committed to understanding user needs and using this insight to build intuitive, impactful solutions.
  • You work effectively with engineers and product managers to align quality efforts with business goals.
  • You are comfortable in a fast-paced environment, you’re quick to adapt to changing priorities and balance rapid iteration with high-quality outputs.
  • Proven experience working in a startup environment is a must.
