We are currently seeking a skilled and dedicated Medical Records Clerk to join our team either remotely or in our office. The ideal candidate will have experience in managing medical records, possess strong communication and organizational skills, and have a desire to make a positive impact in our patients' lives.

Key Responsibilities:

- Maintain and update electronic patient records, ensuring accuracy and confidentiality at all times

- Scan and upload paper records into the electronic system

- Process requests for medical records, adhering to HIPAA regulations and company policies

- Communicate with healthcare providers to obtain necessary medical records for patient care

- Prepare and organize records for insurance audits and company audits

- Create and maintain filing systems to ensure easy retrieval of records

- Monitor inventory of medical record supplies and place orders as needed

Qualifications:

- High school diploma or equivalent required, Bachelor's degree preferred

- Minimum of 2 years experience in a medical records or related field

- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and electronic medical record systems

- Knowledge of HIPAA regulations and medical record retention policies

- Strong organizational and time management skills, with an eye for detail

- Excellent verbal and written communication skills

- Ability to work independently and in a team setting

- Flexible and adaptable to changing situations and priorities
