Lead / Senior Key-Frame Animator (UE 5)

Job Description
We're looking for a highly skilled Lead/Senior Key-Frame Animator to help define and elevate the animation style of our real-time, stylized action game.
Responsibilities:
- Own the creative quality of every hand-keyed animation that brings our characters to life. You will set the style guide, block and polish hero moves, review shots from the team, and work with technical animators to ensure each clip transitions cleanly through the Animation Blueprint.
- Craft expressive locomotion, combat, and cinematic cycles entirely in Maya/Blender—no mocap.
- Define timing, weight, and silhouette standards; mentor artists on posing, follow-through and exaggeration.
- Partner with design and tech-anim to prototype new mechanics and tune animations for gameplay feel.
- Give decisive artistic feedback, schedule iterations, and final sign-off assets for engine integration.
- Coordinate with rigging to request controls, deformation fixes and shape corrections early in the pipeline.
Requirements:
- 5+ years of professional experience in a Key-Frame Animator role.
- Expert hand-key animation principles (timing, spacing, arcs, squash-and-stretch, appeal).
- Advanced proficiency in Maya or equivalent DCC; experience with Unreal sequencer and Animation Blueprint integration.
- Clear visual communication- can thumbnail, film reference, and quickly block poses for concept sign-off.
- Past lead or senior credit on at least one shipped real-time title showcasing high-quality key-framed character work.
- This role is creative-first: you sculpt motion, set the bar, and shepherd every frame from first pass to shippable polish.
