Summary  

We are seeking a dynamic Director, Strategic Accounts (Western US) to lead the growth and management of strategic partnerships within major health systems, with a focus on NICU and pediatric departments. This director level role is responsible for driving enterprise-wide genomic testing adoption, leading a high-performing team, and supporting EMR integration strategies to improve clinical outcomes and operational efficiency.  

This is a high-impact position ideal for a strategic thinker, relationship builder, and team leader who thrives at the intersection of healthcare innovation and commercial execution.  

Job Responsibilities 

Leadership & Team Development  

  • Lead, mentor, and develop a team of Strategic Account Directors and Managers.  
  • Foster a high-performance culture focused on collaboration, accountability, and strategic execution.  
  • Set team goals, provide coaching, and support talent development across the organization.  

Strategic Account Management  

  • Own the strategic direction for enterprise health system accounts.  
  • Develop and execute customized growth strategies in alignment with client priorities and market trends.  
  • Drive revenue growth by identifying and securing expansion opportunities across departments.  

Executive Relationship Management  

  • Cultivate and manage relationships with C-suite executives, clinical leaders, and department heads.  
  • Act as a trusted advisor, facilitating strategic conversations to align client goals with genomic solutions.  

Cross-Functional Collaboration  

  • Partner with internal stakeholders (sales, marketing, clinical, product, medical affairs and IT) to ensure solution alignment.  
  • Communicate customer insights to influence product development and service enhancements.  

EMR Integration & Clinical Implementation  

  • Work closely with hospital IT teams and physician stakeholders to support successful EMR integration of genomic testing.  
  • Guide health systems in adopting NICU rapid and ultraRapid genome testing workflows into clinical care.  

Market Intelligence & Thought Leadership  

  • Stay ahead of healthcare industry trends, competitive activity, and regulatory changes.  
  • Represent the company at industry conferences, roundtables, and client engagements as a subject matter expert.  

Performance & Compliance Oversight  

  • Monitor account performance and provide strategic reporting to senior leadership.  
  • Ensure all activities adhere to compliance standards and health system policies.  

People Manager 

  • Yes 

 Education, Experience, and Skills 

  • Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s or MBA a plus.  
  • 7+ years of experience in strategic account management, enterprise sales, or business development in healthcare, and genomics.  
  • Demonstrated success engaging with C-level stakeholders in large health systems.  
  • Strong understanding of EMR systems (e.g., Epic, Cerner), clinical workflows, and hospital operations.  
  • Exceptional leadership, communication, and strategic thinking skills.
