ABOUT THE ROLE
We are seeking a Project Manager to join our team supporting the Los Alamos National Laboratory! This position is full-time and will be based out of Richland, Washington; however, this position has been approved for work in a primarily remote capacity with occasional travel to site.
Responsibilities
Manages and ensures the timely completion of discrete technical or operational projects.
Establishes technical requirements for the project.
Defines project deliverables, budgets, and schedules.
Oversees the project team in the planning, tracking, and execution of the project from initiation to completion.
Support activities associated with Line-Item Projects Project Controls program and produce specific products or provide services to meet customer’s requirements.
Develop or maintain processes to meet specific programmatic needs and produce the work products defined by the hiring manager.
Responsible for cost analysis/control and planning and scheduling activities for projects or programs with significant non-routine requirements or for discipline/projects/programs/proposal cost and planning activities which require a high degree of technical skilled experience.
Demonstrated skill in identifying, analyzing, and providing innovative solutions to cost and schedule guidance to projects and programs.
Ensures work is completed as scheduled.
Identifies cost trends for management attention.
Requirements
Education & Years of Experience – Bachelor’s Degree and 8+ years of relevant experience; additional, relevant experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
Citizenship – To be considered, you must be a United States (U.S.) citizen due to the federal nature of the work.
Clearance – To be considered, you must be able to obtain and maintain a government issued clearance, if needed.
Must have experience supporting DOE 413.3B work scope.
Must have DOE Risk management or reporting experience.
Must have experience supporting difficult customers/building relationships.
Must be strong at problem solving with excellent communication skills and organization.
Must have demonstrated skill in identifying, analyzing, and providing innovative solutions to cost and schedule guidance to projects and programs.
About the Site
The NNSA's Los Alamos National Laboratory (LANL), located in Los Alamos, New Mexico, is a design laboratory responsible for the safety and reliability of the nuclear explosives package in nuclear weapons. This lab possesses unique capabilities in neutron scattering, enhanced surveillance, radiography, and plutonium science and engineering (energy.gov).
