As the Associate Channel Marketing Manager you will create, execute and measure marketing programs to support the growth and expansion of the company’s brands, products and services. In this role, you will be responsible for brand, product and program positioning, commercialization plans and message development to our target audiences: fabricators, dealers, builders, contractors and consumers. You will also manage and provide support for a variety of traditional and digital marketing activities that help create advocacy for the Outdoors brands.

The Outdoors business unit consists of the market-leading brands Therma-Tru, Larson, Fiberon, Fypon and Solar Innovations.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Develop and execute, as required, specific marketing programs aimed at increasing Outdoors retail product placement and pull-through.
  • Work closely with cross functional team members including product management, engineering and channel enablement teams in development of marketing and commercialization strategies for existing and new product lines, focusing on product positioning differentiation.
  • Leverage insights to strengthen in-market communication and positioning related to existing or new products.
  • Lead development and production, either via internal or external resources, of marketing efforts related to existing and new product commercialization plans, including collateral materials, videos, website integration, merchandising aids, photography/illustrations, launch materials, presentations, etc.
  • Partner with the cross functional team members to provide brand/product input to planning and execution of marketing initiatives – creative, advertising, public relations, digital, social media, trade shows, displays and channel programs.
  • Strive to become a subject matter expert in your area of focus to better meet the needs of our target audiences and business partners.
  • Establish and manage program and project metrics and budgets.
  • Support other marketing and sales initiatives as needed.
  • Manage outside agencies and vendors as needed.

 

Qualifications

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:  

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications or related field
  • Minimum of 4+ years of experience in advertising or marketing
  • Background in B2B (channel) marketing.
  • Demonstrated ability to influence, collaborate and build trust
  • Demonstrated solid financial acumen, analytical skills and problem-solving ability
  • Ability to dive into consumer insights and develop key strategies and tactics to target consumers
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with all levels of the business and in front of customers
  • Proven leadership ability to drive strategy and execution across multiple product categories
  • Proven success in leading change with results in a matrix organization
  • Self-starter with ability to get up to speed quickly and collaborate cross-functionally
  • Experience with successful brand and marketing product launches and positioning
  • Experience with traditional and digital-based marketing tools
  • Excellent project management skills
  • Experience managing and working with agencies

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Background in both B2C and B2B marketing
  • Experience within the Consumer/Durable Goods industry

Additional Information:

Fortune Brands believes in fair and equitable pay. A reasonable estimate of the base salary range for this role is Hiring Pay Range: $63,000 USD - $96,000 USD. Please note that actual salaries may vary within the range, or be above or below the range, based on factors including, but not limited to, education, training, experience, professional achievement, business need, and location. In addition to base salary, employees will participate in either an annual bonus plan based on company and individual performance, or a role-based sales incentive plan.
