Issuing Bank Business Development DirectorWhat does a great Director of Business Development do at Fiserv?
As a Director of Business Development within the Fiserv Debit Network group, you will play a vital role in facilitating the growth of the Accel Network, STAR Network, and MoneyPass Network for debit payment services. Serving as the primary interface for the Fiserv Debit Network business, you will share industry insights with current and potential financial institution clients and partners in the payments sector. Your responsibilities will include articulating the value proposition of Fiserv's comprehensive debit network solution from a data and financial standpoint, maintaining high levels of client engagement to drive client retention and achieve net new goals, renegotiating existing client contracts, identifying add-on service opportunities, and providing industry expertise to internal sales and relationship teams.
What you will do:
- Enhance and cultivate executive client relationships
- Collaborate with diverse Fiserv teams and Client Relationship Managers
- Develop and implement strategic plans for both short and long-term goals
- Gather and disseminate market insights and competitive intelligence to internal teams
- Support pricing strategy development in partnership with finance and modeling teams
- Generate regular management reports and updates on a weekly and monthly basis
What You Will Need To Have:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
- Minimum of 5 years experience managing large accounts and driving sales growth
- Track record of net new and add-on sales commitments, client retention, preferably with mid to large financial institutions and/or fintech partners
- Minimum of 5 years experience in the debit payments industry
- Strong financial and data analysis capabilities
- Ability to travel up 50% to client sites
What Would Be Great To Have:
- Advanced degree in a related field
- Experience in negotiating contracts and fostering relationships with financial institutions and fintech organizations
- In-depth knowledge of debit payment industry trends and regulations
