FHU is seeking a visionary and highly experienced Senior Advanced Mobility Strategist to help lead our national practice in emerging transportation technologies and intelligent mobility solutions. This influential role will bridge program strategy and project execution, delivering transformative outcomes in areas such as connected and automated vehicles (CAV), data analytics, federal grants, and strategic partnerships.

As a key leader on the Advanced Mobility team, the Senior Strategist will drive innovation, support business development, and provide expert guidance on a wide range of multimodal and technology-forward transportation efforts. This position is ideal for a forward-thinking professional eager to influence the future of mobility through meaningful collaboration, rigorous strategy, and impactful delivery.

Key Responsibilities

Strategic Innovation & Leadership

  • Help shape and implement a strategic vision for advanced mobility across national, state, and local markets.
  • Lead efforts to integrate AI, advanced analytics, and smart infrastructure into FHU’s service offerings.
  • Represent FHU at conferences and with industry stakeholders to promote thought leadership in advanced mobility.

Program & Project Oversight

  • Lead or support innovative, multidisciplinary projects involving CAV, ITS, in-road charging, micromobility, and other emerging technologies.
  • Provide system engineering, regulatory compliance, and program management support throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to integrate advanced mobility strategies into planning, engineering, and environmental workflows.

Grant Strategy & Federal Engagement

  • Lead competitive grant development efforts including strategic alignment, writing, and coordination.
  • Provide expert guidance on federal aid eligibility and acquisition planning, supporting clients in navigating USDOT, FHWA, and other agency requirements.

Data & Research Innovation

  • Advance FHU’s capabilities in data analytics, visualization, and dashboard development (e.g., Power BI).
  • Support application of AI and machine learning in transportation projects and workforce tools.
  • Guide research initiatives, pilot programs, and innovation deployments.

Strategic Partnerships & Outreach

  • Build and maintain relationships with federal, state, local, academic, and private-sector stakeholders.
  • Leverage national connections to expand FHU’s market presence and secure high-impact opportunities.
  • Master’s degree in Public Administration, Engineering, Transportation, or related field.
  • 10+ years of experience in transportation innovation, technology deployment, or project delivery.
  • Demonstrated expertise in project management methodologies, stakeholder engagement, and program strategy.
  • Proven ability to lead complex, multi-agency efforts and foster strong internal and external partnerships.

The pay for this position has a range of $135,000 - $175,000 annually. The actual offer will carefully consider a range of factors, including your skills, qualifications, and experience.
