Job Description
THE POSITION:
The Senior Director, IT – Enterprise Architecture is the head of IT enterprise architecture, driving the strategy and implementation of enterprise architecture for all EVERSANA. You will lead the architecture used by the business units across the enterprise and help coach them to achieve superior business outcomes. A key aspect of this role is to coach and lead by influencing parts of EVERSANA to the product operating model and help the shared services technology organization transition to team topology.
This hands-on leadership role will work closely with the technology and cross-functional stakeholders to shape enterprise technology strategy, drive modernization initiatives, and align IT delivery with business outcomes. As a player-coach, you will provide both strategic architectural leadership and tactical support, serving as a trusted advisor to business and technology leaders while mentoring a small team of architects and systems thinkers.
This is a high-impact opportunity to shape how technology enables value across the enterprise. You’ll be working directly with the CIO and leadership team to build a scalable, agile, and modern IT function that drives business growth and innovation.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Enterprise Architecture Leadership
- Lead the enterprise architecture team, own and evolve the enterprise architecture strategy, standards, and governance.
- Establish architecture principles that support agility, scalability, and product thinking across a broad range of legacy and modern technologies based on the business needs.
- Define current and future state architecture roadmaps aligned with business goals.
- Business Partnership
- Serve as a consultative partner to senior business and IT leaders.
- Translate business strategies into architectural initiatives and actionable roadmaps.
- Support technology decision-making for major investments and digital programs.
- Product Operating Model Transformation
- Provide architectural leadership as the company shifts to a product-centric delivery model.
- Design modular, reusable platforms and services that support product autonomy.
- Help define boundaries, interfaces, and ownership patterns for product teams.
- Team Topologies Adoption
- Coach IT organization on Team Topologies principles (e.g., stream-aligned, enabling teams).
- Support platform and enabling team setup through architecture patterns and tools.
- Promote fast flow, clear team APIs, and DevOps readiness across the organization.
- Hands-On Architecture Work
- Engage directly in architecture reviews, modeling, and solution design
- Work with development teams to ensure technical decisions align with architecture vision
- Provide coaching and mentorship to junior architects and engineers
- IT Leadership team
- Be a key leader on the IT Leadership Team, collectively improving the performance and value creation of the IT organization.

- Responsible for and oversee their respective department.
- Interview, select and supervise the activities of the department staff; communicate interpret and discuss with team the company policies and procedures.
- Determine job objectives, work methods and performance standards; review performance relative to departmental objectives discussion appraisal with each employee and performance; authorize and communicate salary changes, promotions, transfers, discipline, and discharge and administer all other personnel actions.

Qualifications
MINIMUM KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
The requirements listed below are representative of the experience, education, knowledge, skill and/or abilities required.
- BS in Computer Science, Analytics, Business Intelligence, or related field
- 15+ years in technology architecture, including enterprise architecture, solution design, and strategic planning Strong prior IT background as a developer, technical analyst and or administrator
- 20+ years software or infrastructure architecture experience
- Proven experience leading architectural transformation in a product-oriented environment
- Familiarity with Team Topologies, Domain-Driven Design (DDD), and platform thinking
- Strong business acumen and ability to act as a bridge between technology and business strategy
- Experience in Agile, DevOps, and modern software delivery practices
- Excellent communication and influence skills across executive, technical, and operational audiences
- Prior experience as a player-coach, managing small, high-performing architecture teams
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Masters Degree in Computer Science, Analytics, Business Intelligence, or related field
- Health care (provider, pharmaceutical, and/or health plan) experience strongly preferred
- Experience in product operating model
- Basic understanding of TOGAF, SAFE or similar certifications
- Senior architecture experience
- Business architecture experience
- Experience in multi-cloud or hybrid cloud environments
- Familiarity with modern architecture tooling (e.g., LeanIX, Miro, etc)

Office: While performing the essential functions of this job the employee is frequently required to reach, grasp, stand and/or sit for long periods of time (up to 90% of the shift), walk, talk and hear; occasionally required to lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderately quiet, with frequent interruptions and multiple demands.

EVERSANA is committed to providing competitive salaries and benefits for all employees. The anticipated base salary range for this position is $177,000 to $208,000 and is not applicable to locations outside of the U.S. The base salary range represents the low and high end of the salary range for this position. Compensation will be determined based on relevant experience, other job-related qualifications/skills, and geographic location (to account for comparative cost of living). EVERSANA reserves the right to modify this base salary range at any time.
