ENTEK is seeking applications for a Customer Care Team Member role to join us on-site at our Lebanon, Oregon location (relocation within 40 miles of Lebanon is required).
As a Customer Care Team Member, you will manage customer orders from start to finish, including tracking, and serve as a liaison between ENTEK and customers to resolve issues and update orders based on customer requests. You will be expected to manage interactions with internal and external customers in a professional and positive manner, ensuring they receive the highest quality of service.
You will have the opportunity to manage both domestic and international shipping, with 75% of your focus being international, including working with freight forwarders and coordinating over-the-road, inter-modal, and multi-modal shipments. Through collaboration with internal teams, you will help keep track of inventory, coordinate logistics, and ensure timely fulfillment of orders. When scheduling outbound shipments, you will work with internal and external teams and third-party logistics providers to ensure timely deliveries.
Raw material management: weekly physical inventory counts (in the plant, colorants, minor mixture components; bags on trucks), vendor managed inventory for restocking, bulk raw material POs, purchasing and receiving, requires being at the rail (verifying there’s material; silica, polymer, oil), interacting with 12+ suppliers.
As part of this work, you will need to stay up to date with domestic and international shipping regulations, including understanding Incoterms and analyzing freight charges. We will look to you to be proactive and suggest ways to improve operations, efficiency, cost savings, and customer service as appropriate. Requirements
Minimum Qualifications
- Associate’s degree and five (5) years of experience in customer service, or equivalent years of education and experience.
- Five (5) years of experience in inventory planning and coordination.
- Ability to read, analyze, and interpret most documents.
- Ability to comprehend and apply principles of advanced algebra and trigonometry.
- Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions to then develop reasonable solutions.
- Advanced computer skills, including but not limited to designing, building and navigating spreadsheets.
- Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written English communications skills including the ability to understand and follow written and verbal instructions.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with other departments such as sales, accounting, billing and shipping.
- Experience with solving practical problems.
- Satisfactory results from a pre-employment drug screen.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working with a steamship line, rail or aviation.
- International shipping experience.
- Previous experience in manufacturing.
- Strong understanding of customer service quality as well as an innate understanding of customer service recovery methods and procedures.
- Solid organizational and time management skills, with the ability to multitask in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Working Environment
The hours for this role are Monday-Friday, starting at 7:00 a.m. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently performs tasks that require the ability to talk, hear, sit for extended lengths of time, reaching, handling, finger dexterity, and requires specific vision abilities that include close, color, and focusing. The role occasionally requires the ability to stand, walk, and climb. The incumbent may be required to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
