YOUR ROLE

As a Dental Records Specialist, you will ensure the accuracy and security of patient records and support the overall efficiency of our dental operations. You will play a crucial role in maintaining our records system, ensuring compliance with healthcare regulations, and facilitating smooth communication within our mobile care teams. Your main responsibilities will include:

  • Managing the collection, organization, and storage of patient dental records.
  • Ensuring that all patient documentation is complete and compliant with regulations.
  • Updating records and maintaining accuracy across the board.
  • Facilitating communication between patients and dental teams regarding documentation as needed.
  • Assisting in the preparation for audits and ensuring records meet legal requirements.
  • Training and supporting staff regarding record-keeping procedures.

WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR

Education, Training & Experience:

  • High school diploma or equivalent; additional training or certification in health information management or related field preferred.
  • Previous experience in a dental or healthcare setting focusing on record management or patient administration (preferred).
  • Understanding of HIPAA regulations and patient confidentiality.

Skills & Abilities:

  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to handle sensitive information with care and discretion.
  • Proficiency in dental software and MS Office Suite.

Job Requirements:

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
