Senior Software Engineer, Jirachi
Job Description
About Us
Ediphi offers the most comprehensive cloud-based estimating and preconstruction solution on the market. Our goal is to shorten the time spent in preconstruction, allowing projects to break ground faster and estimators to feel more confident in their work.
We started when Michael Navarro, an estimating pro at Suffolk, knew there was a better way than relying on spreadsheet nightmares. He began creating a solution built by estimators, for estimators. He teamed up with Dustin DeVan, founder of BuildingConnected (acquired by Autodesk for $275 million), to launch Ediphi in 2023. With a $12M Series A round led by Norwest Venture Partners and with ongoing participation from Suffolk Technologies, Ediphi continues to grow as a SaaS offering for General Contractors around the country.
About This Role
At Ediphi, we’re building a diverse team of engineers from all backgrounds who share similar values to ours. If you don’t feel you check all the experiences and qualifications we’re looking for, we still encourage you to apply!
We’re looking for a Senior Software Engineer to join Jirachi, one of our collaborative, high-impact feature teams. Jirachi owns the core estimating product. We work in a Trifecta model, meaning you’ll partner closely with a Product Manager and Designer to shape the team’s roadmap, empower engineers to grow and excel, and ensure we ship high-quality software—iteratively and with purpose.
This role requires technical experience in React and Node.js (or similar modern web technologies) with a preference for a full-stack, frontend-leaning skillset, as well as a passion for mentoring engineers, fostering collaboration, and driving outcomes in a startup environment.
What You’ll Do
Collaborate with cross-functional teammates, including designers and product managers, to develop and implement end-to-end solutions
Contribute to and lead design discussions, valuing diverse perspectives for critical decision-making to drive product development
Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code, adhering to best practices and coding standards (we have many of these in place, but want your help to improve them even further)
Participate in code reviews to provide and receive constructive feedback, fostering continuous improvement and a culture of learning
Mentor junior team members, sharing your knowledge and contributing to their professional growth
Contribute to a culture of technical excellence and product quality through automated testing, runtime instrumentation, and close partnership with Product and QA
What You’ll Need
Minimum of 5+ years of full-stack development experience
Attention to detail and a mindset geared toward risk prevention and correctness in user-facing outputs, where user trust hinges on data reliability
Proficiency in our tech stack (Node.js, React, Typescript, and Postgres) or a similar modern web technology stack
Empathy for the user experience and product quality
Experience working with agile, collaborative teams
The ability to thrive in a remote-first culture
Why take on this role?
Opportunity for real impact: Help shape the culture, direction, and success of a fast-moving startup.
Supportive leadership team: Work with experienced leaders who prioritize your growth and well-being.
Competitive compensation, equity, and growth potential: Be part of something big, where your contributions have an outsized impact, both professionally and financially.
Change an industry while improving how people work: Don’t take our word for it, check out what our customers say about Ediphi.
Benefits:
Competitive salary and equity
Unlimited PTO (and we actually encourage you to use it)
Health, dental, vision, and life insurance
12 weeks of paid parental leave
A phenomenal, remote-first team that deeply cares about creating great products
