Job Description
Overview
The Practice Manager II is responsible for overseeing daily operations to ensure the delivery of high-quality health care. This role involves managing staff, standardizing workflows, optimizing patient care, and collaborating closely with the Associate Chair of Finance & Administration.
Responsibilities
- Lead and manager all day-to-day practice operations to ensure high-quality patient care, including staff supervision and support.
- Develop and standardize office workflows across multiple locations to enhance efficiency within the Medical Group.
- Assists the Associate Chair of Finance & Administration with setting and achieving long-term goals for the practice.
- Assists the Associate Chair with more advanced budgeting responsibilities.
- Partner with HR to address more complex personnel issues, including performance management and conflict resolution.
- Hiring, training, and supervising a larger or more specialized team of providers and PAs upon onboarding, MAs, administrative support staff, billing, and front desk.
- Designs and facilitates scenario-based training programs.
- Responsible for monitoring and implementing best practices for patient safety and patient care standards.
- Regularly update training materials and sessions to reflect changes in regulations, technology, or best practices.
- Participates in quality improvement programs, including monitoring and analyzing promoting interoperability (PI) scores and assists with review key performance indicators (KPIs) with our Associate Chair of Finance & Administration.
- Collaborates with other departments to create cross-functional training sessions to improve coordination and communication between teams. Acts as a resource for troubleshooting and optimizing workflows in various locations.
- Conducts training sessions for open lines of communication amongst the surgery department and other offices to ensure consistency in procedures and protocols.
- Forecasts potential staffing issues for providers.
- Oversees Electronic Health Records (EHR) systems and other practice management software.
Qualifications
Bachelors Degree in business or healthcare management or equivalent amount of experience in Practice Management
Three (3) years of relevant experience in a medical office environment. Experience working with Microsoft Office Suite, Electronic Health Record, and IDX Billing System is preferred.
