Position Overview:
The Director of IT (HR, Legal, and RE) is a key leadership role responsible for overseeing the development, implementation, and management of Dutch Bros' enterprise application systems for the business areas of HR, Legal and Real Estate & Site selection. This position will drive the digital transformation of our internal processes, ensuring our systems effectively support business operations and growth objectives. The role collaborates closely with cross-functional teams to deliver solutions that enhance operational efficiency and provide a solid foundation for long-term success.
Job Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business Administration, or a related field, required. A Master’s degree is preferred.
Minimum 10 years of experience in IT or business applications, with at least 5 years in a leadership role overseeing back-office or corporate applications.
Extensive experience with ERP (e.g., Oracle, SAP, NetSuite) and HRIS systems (e.g., Workday, ADP).
Strong understanding of back-office processes, including finance, Legal, and HR operations.
Proven track record of leading and delivering large-scale system implementations and integrations.
Experience in Project and Program management methodologies.
Experience in leveraging machine and robotic process automations to gain operational efficiency.
Experience with methodologies such as Lean, Six Sigma, or similar frameworks to optimize processes
Excellent leadership and team management skills, with experience developing high-performance teams.
Expert-level experience in managing vendors, especially SaaS providers and third-party service providers.
Strong financial acumen, with experience managing budgets and financial forecasting for enterprise applications.
Location Requirement:
This role is located in Tempe, Arizona. This position is required to be in office 4 days per week (Mon-Thurs); Fridays are optional remote work days.
Key Result Areas (KRAs):
Strategic Leadership:
Develop and execute a comprehensive strategy for Dutch Bros' enterprise application landscape, including, HR, Legal and Real Estate, and other core corporate systems.
Partner with senior leadership and business stakeholders to identify needs, translate them into technical solutions, and create an actionable roadmap for system enhancements and innovations.
Continuously assess and improve business processes supported by corporate applications to ensure operational efficiency and scalability.
Team Management and Development:
Lead, mentor, and manage a high-performing team.
Foster a collaborative culture focused on professional growth, continuous improvement, and operational excellence.
Oversee workforce planning, recruitment, and professional development to build a strong and capable team.
Project Oversight and Execution:
Oversee the planning, execution, and delivery of enterprise application projects, ensuring they meet deadlines, stay within budget, and achieve scope objectives.
Partner with the IT PMO to ensure projects align with Dutch Bros' long-term business strategy and operational needs.
Implement project management best practices, including risk management, resource allocation, and quality assurance.
System Integration and Optimization:
Ensure the seamless integration and performance of corporate applications, optimizing cross-functional workflows and data management.
Drive alignment between business processes and technology solutions, leveraging automation and best practices to enhance efficiency.
Manage key vendor relationships, ensuring service level agreements (SLAs) are met and contracts deliver optimal value for Dutch Bros.
Operational Excellence and Continuous Improvement:
Ensure the reliability, scalability, and security of corporate systems to support business operations.
Develop policies, procedures, and best practices for the deployment, support, and maintenance of all systems under your management.
Continuously monitor application performance and user feedback to identify opportunities for improvement and innovation.
Financial Management:
Develop and manage the annual budget for the back-office systems department, ensuring efficient use of resources and alignment with financial goals.
Optimize software licensing, maintenance, and support costs, identifying opportunities for cost savings and return on investment (ROI).

Physical Requirements:
In-Office Environment: Must be able to work in a busy, crowded, and loud office with frequent distractions and interruptions
Must be able to collaborate in-person with occasional impromptu in-person meetings
Office Conditions: Adaptability to typical office conditions, which may include exposure to air conditioning, heating, artificial lighting, and varying noise levels
Mobility: Ability to sit, stand, reach, twist, stretch, and work at a desk for long stretches. Must be able to occasionally move or lift office items up to 25 pounds
Hearing Requirements: Hearing must be sufficient or correctable to ensure clear understanding of spoken information, including participating in virtual meetings and phone calls. Use of hearing aids or other assistive devices is acceptable if needed.
Reading and Writing Proficiency: Ability to read and write in English is essential for processing documents, drafting reports, and following up on necessary actions. Proficiency in written communication is required to handle job-related tasks effectively.
Vision Requirements: Vision must be adequate or correctable to perform essential job duties, such as reading documents on a computer screen and using other visual tools. Use of corrective lenses or other measures to meet visual requirements is expected if needed.
Technology Proficiency: Must be proficient in operating a computer and other office productivity tools such as printers, scanners, and collaboration software.
Effective Communication: Must possess strong verbal and written communication skills to interact effectively with team members, clients, and other stakeholders via email, video conferencing, and other in office communication tools.
Compensation:
$190,619.77 - DOE
