Job Description

We’re looking for a Director of Customer Advocacy to take our global advocacy engine to the next level. This is a critical leadership role responsible for shaping how our most strategic customers engage with and champion Drata. You’ll develop a bold, enterprise-ready advocacy strategy that strengthens brand reputation, accelerates growth, and deepens customer loyalty.

You’ll work at the intersection of Customer Success, Marketing, Sales, and Product — ensuring the voice of the customer is not just heard, but drives action and innovation across the company.

What you’ll do:

  • Design and execute a comprehensive advocacy strategy for enterprise customers, including reference programs, case studies, testimonials, customer advisory boards, and community engagement.
  • Partner cross-functionally with Marketing, Sales, Customer Success, and Product to embed advocacy into the customer journey and influence go-to-market initiatives.
  • Develop scalable processes for identifying, nurturing, and activating advocates at all stages of the customer lifecycle.
  • Elevate enterprise voices through compelling content, speaking opportunities, peer networking programs, and strategic co-marketing.
  • Measure and report on the performance of advocacy initiatives, aligning with business objectives like retention, expansion, and brand awareness.
  • Build strong relationships with top-tier customers, becoming a trusted partner and unlocking long-term advocacy potential.

What you’ll bring:

  • 10+ years of experience in Customer Marketing, Customer Advocacy, or related functions in B2B SaaS.
  • Experience working with enterprise customers in a SaaS security or compliance environment (required).
  • Strong strategic thinking paired with operational excellence — you can build and scale programs that drive measurable results.
  • Exceptional communication skills with a knack for storytelling and customer-centric messaging.
  • High EQ and executive presence; comfortable working directly with C-level stakeholders both internally and externally.
Passion for amplifying the customer voice and building genuine, lasting relationships.

Benefits:

  • Healthcare: 90-100% paid premiums for medical, dental, and vision plans for employee and dependents + on demand health care concierge
  • HSA, FSA, & DCFSA: Pre-tax savings plans for healthcare and dependent care, with up to a $600 annual employer contribution to the HSA plan (if enrolled in HSA medical plan)
  • 100% paid short and long term disability plus life + AD&D benefits
  • Learning & Development: $500 annually towards professional development opportunities + $250 annually towards personal development opportunities
  • Flexible Time Off: Flexible vacation policy for strong, fully charged batteries
  • 16 Weeks Paid Parental Leave: An inclusive policy to ensure you have time with your newborn, newly adopted, or foster child
  • Work Remotely: Flexible hours and work from home + $1,000 annually to cover necessary business related items for your home office
  • 401K: Reach your financial goals while reducing your taxes
