Overview
We are seeking a highly motivated and results-oriented Sales Director to lead our quota-carrying Account Executive team across the USA. Reporting directly to the VP of Sales, this critical role will be responsible for driving significant revenue growth by managing, developing, and inspiring a high-performing sales team. The ideal candidate is a hands-on leader who thrives in a dynamic environment, is adept at rolling up their sleeves to ensure success, and possesses a proven track record of exceeding sales targets through effective team management and strategic deal execution. You will play a pivotal role in our US expansion efforts, fostering strong client relationships, and collaborating closely with the VP of Sales to execute our overall sales strategy and achieve ambitious business objectives.
Key Responsibilities
Motivate, coach and directly manage a team of quota-carrying Enterprise Account Executives.
Meet or exceed Quarterly and Annual sales targets.
Alongside the RevOps team, set and track key sales targets and supporting metrics for your team, both leading and lagging KPIs for high value enterprise business.
Hold regular call coaching sessions, pipeline reviews, one-on-ones and team meetings.
Oversee and actively participate in key deals, providing strategic guidance, negotiation support and hands-on assistance to convert opportunities into closed-won business.
Monitor sales performance metrics, identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions to optimise sales processes and drive greater efficiency and pipeline management.
Execute new hiring, onboarding and ongoing training to enable the team to achieve sales quota and ongoing professional development.
Build an open communication environment for your team.
Ensure your Enterprise Account Executives are following the sales process in order to improve close probabilities.
Work collaboratively with the VP of Sales to translate overall sales strategy into actionable plans, driving their effective execution across your team.
Provide timely and accurate information to management to assist with forecasting, team performance and market insights.
Travel for prospect and customer meetings and events will be required.
Skills & Experience
7+ years of progressive sales experience, with at least 3-5 years in a sales management or director-level role, successfully leading and managing quota-carrying sales teams to hit target.
Demonstrable and quantifiable history of consistently exceeding individual and team sales targets and driving overall company revenue growth.
Enterprise Sales Expertise: Deep experience navigating complex enterprise sales cycles with an ACV of $400K-$800K, working with multiple stakeholders and long deal cycles.
Forecasting & Data-Driven Decision-Making: Strong command of sales metrics, pipeline management, and forecasting using CRM and sales intelligence tools.
Cross-Functional Collaboration: Works closely with Marketing, Product, and Customer Success to drive alignment, optimize GTM motions, and improve revenue outcomes.
Preferred Qualifications
Prior experience in a high-growth SaaS company at the Series B+ stage.
Strong network and relationships with key decision-makers in relevant industries.
Experience working in a VC/PE-backed company and reporting to a VP of Sales.
Industry Focus (Preferred but Not Essential): Experience selling into business and IT stakeholders in private practice and corporate legal teams.
