We are looking for a Product Owner to join our Core Banking and Disputes squads within our Shared Services team.
Shared Services refers to the domain within our Product Division that has business ownership and accountability for the common assets and functions used within the Product Division. Shared Services is complex. As the link between other product domains, we are the business owner of over 40 applications.
Our Core Banking squad enables the settlement, file exchange and reporting functions that underpin Cuscal’s business, and our Disputes squad exists to make payment disputes a seamless, efficient and valuable process for our clients. Reporting to the Head of Shared Services, the Product Owner will be responsible to set the product vision and own the delivery results of the scrum teams.
About the Role:
Champion exceptional client experiences acting as the voice of the customer by communicating a clear vision to the scrum team of client insights and stakeholder feedback to inform the user stories and acceptance criteria.
Own and prioritise the backlog of work for the team (what the team works on) which could include client delivery, maintenance, defects, incidents, and continuous improvement using the relevant frameworks and guidelines.
Partner with Product Manager/s to build new or enhance and optimise products in line with broader market needs and trends.
Partner with other key stakeholders (such as Project Delivery, Risk and Compliance, other Product Owners and Product Managers) to ensure their needs are captured, prioritised and managed effectively as part of the team backlog.
Make strategic decisions to prioritise the work in the backlog, managing complex trade-offs and competing priorities. Lead and coach the squad in the management and prioritisation of effort and planning delivery of the backlog

Responsible for ensuring the investment of resources to deliver maximum value for Cuscal against the priorities of resilience, compliance, client delivery and innovation
Responsible for maintaining compliant and resilient systems and products
Responsible for operational readiness for all new services or significant changes. Service acceptance criteria are used to ensure that a service meets the defined service requirements, including functionality, operational support, performance, and quality requirements.
Direct people management of the Business Analysts in the squads.
About You:
4+ years in banking/financial services with a preference for delivering SaaS and/or B2B products. Experience in core banking systems and payments highly regarded.
Strong prioritisation and problem-solving skills and high attention to detail.
Ability to effectively manage multiple/cross business requirements at various stages of the product lifecycle
Strong data analysis skills and process review capabilities.
2+ years of experience in product strategy, requirements intake (e.g business analyst), SME, process owner or customer facing role.
Knowledge of Agile development methodologies/tools and experience writing user stories
