Job Description

Profile Description

Workforce Support Specialist ensures the effective implementation of HR policies and procedures, addresses routine employee inquiries, and facilitates operational HR processes. This role collaborates with employees and leaders to resolve basic issues and ensures compliance with company policies and labor regulations.

Strategic Focus

Focuses on operational support by executing established HR processes, maintaining employee records, and addressing routine compliance concerns.

Stakeholders (Internal Clients)

Employees requiring first-level HR assistance. Supervisors seeking clarification on HR policies and procedures.

Talent Management

Supports onboarding, tracks employee compliance with mandatory training, and provides guidance on performance review processes.

Data Management

Compiles and organizes employee data for routine reporting, ensures HR systems are updated, and tracks progress on assigned tasks.

Competency & Skills

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Basic knowledge of labor laws and HR policies.

  • Ability to follow established processes and resolve issues efficiently.

  • Proficiency in HR systems and tools for data entry and management.

Key Responsibilities

  • Handle routine employee inquiries related to HR policies and procedures.

  • Provide support for onboarding and offboarding processes.

  • Maintain compliance with documentation and record-keeping requirements.

  • Escalate complex issues to Tier 3 or 4 as necessary.

Qualifications

Prior Experience

  • 1–3 years of HR operational experience. Familiarity with HR systems and workflows.
  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Good word processing, data entry.
  • Thoroughly knowledgeable on area assigned.
  • Accurate typing, spelling and grammar skills required.  
  • Broad understanding of HR policies, practices and procedures.
  • Skilled in multitasking, organizing and prioritizing work.
  • Good customer service, verbal and writing skills.
  • Understanding of applicable computer systems, such as Microsoft Office, Lotus Notes and function specific software.
