US BBU Commercial Learning, a function of the Innovation and Business Excellence (IBEX) team, is dedicated to developing and delivering innovative, accessible and tailored learning solutions to empower individuals and teams to drive growth and elevate capability as the US BBU leads the way in advancing healthcare solutions for patients.   Our enterprise learning team owns the lifecycle of training for our US BBU commercial field roles from onboarding to ongoing capability development, from bespoke team interventions to enterprise academies. 

 

The Associate Director, Enterprise Capabilities will support the development and execution of innovative learning strategies to enhance the effectiveness and efficiency of our teams. This role involves encouraging cross-functional collaboration, demonstrating analytics, and optimizing strategies to ensure that organizational goals align with market demands and customer expectations. 

 

The Associate Director, Enterprise Capabilities will: 

  • Balance immediate demand with future-facing activity that ensures the US business has the right capabilities to meet the changing demands of the AZ strategy 

  • Lead the Commercial learning field faculty programs for RFBTs, DSM Faculty and Stat champions 

  • Lead the workstream responsible for enhancing business insight across field-facing teams, including the strategic use of all business tools and data for business planning. 

  • Coordinate with team members to develop and conduct hands-on training sessions for various roles. 

  • Continuously identify areas of opportunity to evaluate, innovate, and improve learning for maximum commercial business impact that positively impacts the patients we serve 

 

Essential for the role: 

  • Bachelor’s degree in science, learning, business, communications or related field 

  • Minimum 5 years in pharmaceutical sales or healthcare

  • Technical / Business Insight 

  • Proficiency and demonstrated application of key AZ business tools - Veeva, Matrix, Insights, Coach App, Javelin, etc. 

  • Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Teams and social applications like Workplace 

  • Comfortable using and learning digital platforms and innovative technology 

  • Ability to simplify and translate complex ideas and concepts for audiences of all levels 

 

Preferred Background: 

  • Strong Learning & Development background 

  • HQ project experience or rotation 

  • Experience leading and developing others 

  • Project management expertise
