Job Description
Position Summary
The IT Project Manager is responsible for overseeing the planning, execution, and delivery of IT projects within an organization. This role leads cross-functional teams, manages resources, and ensures that projects are completed on time, within budget, and in alignment with business objectives. Effective communication, strategic planning, and stakeholder management are essential skills for success in this role. This role reports to the VP of Business Applications.
The budgeted salary range for this position is $96,000 to $125,000. Actual pay will be dependent on budget and experience; all our salaried roles are eligible for bonus.

Essential Job Functions
- Lead the planning, execution, and delivery of IT projects, ensuring they meet deadlines, budget constraints, and quality standards
- Coordinate with internal stakeholders to gather project requirements and translate them into actionable IT strategies
- Manage project scope, schedule, and resources, ensuring clear communication across all teams
- Develop and maintain detailed project plans, ensuring proper risk management and mitigation strategies are in place
- Work closely with IT teams to ensure technical solutions align with resort and hospitality objectives
- Provide project status updates and reports to senior management and key stakeholders
- Oversee the integration of new technology systems, from point-of-sale solutions to booking and reservation platforms
- Ensure system implementations are aligned with operational workflows and guest experience goals
- Coordinate vendor relationships for IT-related services and equipment procurement
- Troubleshoot issues during the project lifecycle and ensure continuous improvements in technology processes
- Implement best practices for project management methodologies (Agile, Waterfall, etc.)
- Develop training materials and provide training sessions for staff to effectively use new technology systems
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
Education & Experience Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business Administration, or a related field
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in IT project management, preferably within the hospitality or tourism industry
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
- Experience managing vendors, including development and design firms
- Experience managing internal development teams required
- Demonstrated ability to translate complex business problems in clear and concise requirements for modern web, mobile or ecommerce applications
- Experience working in the travel, tourism, leisure, ski resort, or hospitality industries
- Experience working with matrixed teams and vendor partners strongly preferred
- Proven track record of delivering complex IT projects on time and within budget
- Strong understanding of project management methodologies, including Agile, Scrum, and Waterfall
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to manage relationships with cross-functional teams and external vendors
- Knowledge of hospitality management systems, resort operations, or related IT platforms
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment
- Proficient in project management tools (e.g., Microsoft Project, Jira, Asana) and Microsoft Office Suite
- Proficient knowledge in developing and executing business strategies that align with the company’s long-term goals
- Strong ability to negotiate contracts, partnerships, and agreements that benefit the organization
- Ability to earn trust and respect from project stakeholders and influence decisions that need to be made to make the project successful
Additional Information
Work Environment and Physical Demands
- Ability to stand, type and sit at desk/computer for most of the work shift executing repetitive movements
- No adverse or hazardous conditions
- Not required, but preferred to be able to occasionally lift, push or pull 25 lbs. individually or with assistance (weight limits can vary according to position, but no more than 50 lbs.)
